Excellent put together tourist attraction. Very well maintained and the audio guide gives you the freedom to explore the massive, awesome palace at your own pace. So much details and fascinating insight to such a historical period of time and the influence this location and building had on the rest of Europe.
I am fascinated by the history of the place. Obviously this place was meant to be the next St. Peter's after the schism. I am amazed at the amount of work put into the place, but it is now a former shell of its glory. Good to go once, but I wouldn't pay to see it again.

While...

We did not get the audio guides. There are display cards in most rooms available in English. If not traveling with a young child I...

The Palace is gorgeous from the outside, and in being in Avignon, it looks like it came out of a fairy tale... but I was really disappointed but the inside! There is only one small room that was preserved (tiles reconstituted and wall painting and ceiling) but all the rest of the whole palace is empty! No furniture, and no...
