Beautiful sunny day, the visit was very special for my mum who has always loved Van Gogh's work. Lots of souvenirs can be purchased here too.

This was another of my "bucket list" items I chose on my recent French river cruise. I love Van Gogh's paintings and can't get enough of his story so visiting here was just great. As another VGT(Van Gogh tragic) said to me as we wandered around the grounds.." I'm so glad he came here it is so peaceful and pleasant".... More

Although there isn't much to do at this place...me and my wife just sat down to read a bit about Van Gogh history...this was a very spiritual experience, as the painter himself roamed between the walls of that building (I would really suggest you to do that :) )

While in Arles if you have an hour or so to spend you might as well visit this mental hospital and buy some of Van Gogh's reproductions.

I wouldn't advise paying for a special Van Gogh visit. You could just wander around here & Arles w/a good Van Gogh map on your own. Each Painting spot has a helpful print located there by the city (I guess) & it's cool to visualize him painting them. Also, the old hospital (Espace) has a nice toilet, which American guests... This was the hospital where Van Gogh spent some time. He was a prolific artist in Arles. Museum is less than stellar. But worth a quick visit.

As a fan of Vincent Van Gogh, this was a must see. Situated inside the original hospital grounds, and the garden is still as Vincent painted it. A great souvenir shop with all things Vincent.

You can really see what Van Gogh painted in the Espace. it is a nice place to sit and relax, or you can just pass through quickly on the way to another site. Free entry.

We visited this building when we were on the hunt for all of Van Gogh's painting scenes. They are scattered all over the Arles with signage that shows Vincent Van Gogh's painting. You can look at the painting, then look at the scenery and see how much the landscape has changed, or not changed in some cases. It was really... More
