I don't think Vna Gogh painted in the postcard vendors

The scene of one of Van Gogh's paintings, the gardens are still more or less as he painted them, but I think he preferred to omit the souvenir shops ringing one side of the garden.

Espace van GOGH,has a nice garden ,which is a copy of a paint made by VICENT VAN GOGH.It is an explosion of colours. The town pays the respect for VINCENT VAN GOGH,great artist ,heavy drinker of absynt, which consumated in large amounts gives halucination, due to VICENT cut himself an ear.

I went to Arles because I love Van Gogh. The Espace Van Gogh is a beautiful spot to visit - the garden is being kept as Van Gogh painted it when he stayed here (the building is a former hospital). The buildings of the courtyard now hold exhibitions, a café and gift shops. I found the courtyard very peaceful and... More

If you traveled to Arles for Van Gogh, don't expect to find the paintings, do expect to find the inspiration and locations where he painted over 200 pieces.

This is an old hospital where famed artist Van Gogh went for treatment not long before his death. If you are familiar with his work there are three paintings that were painted here from his window. They have successfully kept the garden with the same aspect as when Van Gogh painted it and you can easily find the spot in... More

This is a beautiful area to see what inspired Van Gogh. If you are a fan of Van Gogh then this would be a definite must see. We were there when there still some flowers visible, but the cooler weather and the rain took a bit of toll on the garden.

The place was interesting. I went to there for sight seeing. However, I saw a lot of local people entering and leaving. They were still utilizing the facility. I went there in December. Unfortunately, I could not see flowers.

It was magical to visit where van Gogh was hospitalized after his ear injury. Although we only saw the inner courtyard, we could imagine what it must have been for van Gogh to be a patient here.

It was in a letter to his sister that Vincent described the garden, now re-created here. Nice to see, would be better if there were benches.

We visited Espace Van Gogh as part of Uniworld river cruise excursion, along with other excursions from other river cruise ships. The story of Van Gogh in Arles is every present, and is what Arles is all about....although one should not forget the great influence of the Romans. Primarily the walk about of Arles is to point out the locations... More
