This is a great great tour do it early in your visit. Matilde was the best and so informative we felt like we were there with an old friend showing us around their city. We got to taste all the treats of the city and hear history along the way from the story of Callisons to how the city started... More

The 'Savoring the taste of Provence' tour was led by an ex-pat from the UK who had transplanted to Aix years ago! She did a fine job in giving us interesting tidbits about food, related etiquettes of the French along with a brief history of the area. The tour was both relaxing and enjoyable! One interesting thing I learned from... More

In every sense! We took this tour back in the fall of 2013 and I just realized I never wrote a review. Jennifer lead us on a lovely culinary journey through the markets and specialty shops of Aix. On our walking tour we sampled the best the region has to offer (exquisite pastries, olives, coffee, cheeses, lavender and figs to... More

Our group of 6 friends took this tour with Mathilde. I signed us up after reading all of these wonderful reviews here on Tripadvisor, so our expectations were high to begin with. Mathilde did not disappoint. This tour was the highlight of our stay in Aix. I, too recommend doing the tour at the beginning of your stay so you... More

We really enjoyed this informative, fun and layed back tour of aix. It's such a lively town with a great food culture. The tour allowed us to navigate the market and discover hidden gems that we certainly would have missed if we were on our own. We tasted so much food including amazing macaroons, great coffee and gorgeous picketed garlic... More

There are many positive feed backs about "tasting food in Aix" with Mathilde, but I'd like to add one more! It really was interesting 3,5 hour long tour around the city and its markets with brief history of the region and stories of the everyday life of the citizens. Try to make this tour in the beginning of your stay... More

We took the tour this AM with Charolette and very much enjoyed ourselves. Charolette was informative and interactive. The booklet handed out at the end is both useful and a wonderful souvenir. Thank you Charolette for helping us make our purchases for our "market dinner" this evening-alas the strawberries won't be making it to the dinner-tasting "just one" was a... More

This was a perfect introduction to the history and food of Aix. Mathilde is charming and informative. I'm not much of a shopper so it was nice to have her guidance on the local vendors at the markets. She also made sure I got to taste figs - delicious. The rest of my stay will be better with this introduction... More

Mathilde escorted our group of eight adults for a three hour history and culinary tour of Aix. Her knowledgeable and delightful narrative, along with the incredibly tasty samples of Aix specialties, made for one of the most memorable and satisfying experiences of our Provence vacation. Absolutely worth her fee. She is so much fun and so personable that all of... More

Mathilde met us at the fountain and began a tour that included much about food and a little about history. We learned about (and tasted) specialties of Aix including pastries, olives, freshly roasted coffee, macaroons (no, not the coconut ones). We shopped the market for in-season fruits. Most of the stops included a tasting. At the end of the tour,... More
