Routes des Crete

It was our favourite part of trip down to Provence area. Absolutely stunning views and Cap Canille is a must - the highest open cliffs in France. We would do it again!

We have done it from Cassis, at the sunset. AMAZING. Take your time and stop at every view point; each and every one offers you new perspective to Cassis, to the coast and to the sea. If you are comeing from Toulon you might get out of the highway at Ciotat in order to acceed Cassis and not to pay... More

We traveled this route as the sun was going down so the views were dramatic and there were few cars and no busses. We were told though that during the day when it is busy there are professional thieves that break into cars even if you are gone for only a few minutes.

Driving along this mountain road are absolutely spectacular panoramic views of the Mediteranean coastline and mountains. Several vista points along the way alow your step out and soak the scenery. Unlike other mountain roads in the area that feature a single lane for two-way traffic, this was a very leisurely drive.

We drove this route from la ciotat to cassis and were very impressed. The scenery is absolutely fantastic and there were a number of scenic stops overlooking the calanques.

This is one drive where the driver has to pay close attention to the road - no margin for error. The views are amazing and there are plenty of lookout points where you can stop and enjoy the view. The road hugs the top of the mountain and can be completed in about an hour including stops. A truly special... More

Stunning views across the coast. The drop from the cliff is several hundred meters so be aware if you're with children as there's no barriers or anything on the edge. There's a few different view points with parking available. We were hitchhiking and were fortunate enough to catch a ride with people who were also interested in stopping at every... More

We took this road as we headed towards one of the beach from Cassis; basically it's a narrow road that allows you to enjoy some really beautiful landscapes. Don't speed up, there are cyclists, motorcycles, curves with a low visibility and of course the landscape. You can find from place to place some parking spaces where you can stop and... More
