For truly stunning scenery, this area should not be missed. If you are staying in Provence, or the Cote d'azur, it is within a 1 - 2 hour drive. You can spend a day driving around the gorge, but with the traffic on the narrow winding roads this can be very tiring and is best avoided during peak times. I... More

Amazing region and lovely for just a drive and definitely a place should be considered to spend a couple of days to truly see it all. We plan on a revisit to camp and take a hike, do some hydroplaning. Huge and lots of activities for extreme sports fans.

Dont miss an excursion to the Gorges du Verdon, a lovely landmark in La Provence. You need to walk about 5 minutes to get to the most beautiful spots. Restaurant and restrooms can be found in the area.

A great day drive from Aix through small villages and country lanes leads you to the spectacular mountainous scenery that encloses Gorges du Verdon.

The day we visited gorges du verdon, it was raining a bit. Still the view was magnificent. The drive from the town Moustier St Marie to the canyon and the lake is a must. (Some drive from the opposite direction.) Indeed, a scenic drive with places (for parking) where you can stop to take in the view, or even take... More

A spectacular sight as you come around a winding narrow road, the most amazing blue/green colour . A massive expanse of sparkling water . We took a paddle boat for 1 hour , just to be up close .

I spent the morning there with my family. We rent an electric boat but you can also rent pedalo. The color of the lake is amazing , water little bit cold.

We visited the gorges, on a very hot June day. We hired an electric boat, which was very quiet and easy to operate, so it provided a very pleasant way of exploring the gorges from the water. Well worth a trip
