Went on a solo day trip, the place is much more beautiful than the pics. If you love nature and gave one day in Marseille this place has immense beauty to engage in. You can explore by kayak or a paddle boat from the water or indulge in beautiful walks on the top. Both present variant views and worth every... More

We only drove the Gorges as our time is limited but even so the views are simply stunning. This is a place that is far better than photos can reveal. The roads are winding and high up but in good condition and there are pull overs that provide the opportunity to let it all sink in and to capture some... More

The Gorges du Verdon has a couple of beautiful points to visit ( maybe more, but I managed to cover a few). You will definitely need a car, though I see bikes which I think only the locals know well, because it can be dangerous. Point Sublime, coordinates 43.793988,6.398363 ( just copy this coordinate into google map). Literally, you see... More

The hiking and swimming here is spectacular. The views were gorgeous. We hiked 20 miles then swam and rented a paddle boat.

Several friends stayed in Flayosc for an oval weekend. One of our activities was to go Gorges du Verdon from Chalet de Maline up to Le Point Sublime. The decent down into the gorge and the trip along the river was a fascinating experience. There are only a couple of locations where you're actually able to get on to the... More

>>>>#1 piece of advice for the gorges: FILL UP YOUR TANK BEFORE YOU GO INTO THE GORGE. It is hours before you will find gas in any direction, and if you go in with half a tank, you will be sweating bullets before you come out the other side. The (very few) gas stations in the area close at noon,... More

We drove from Moustiers to Castellane. There are many shoulders along the way for admiring the views and taking pictures. Eventually, one will reach Point Sublime. This is a lookout point. When you reach it, there is a large parking area. You have to walk across an unpaved plateau for about 5 minutes before you get to the viewing area.... More

Of course great scenery but I have found similar but in my humble opinion, far more enjoyable places to see in this corner of France.
