2000 foot cliffside highway through tunnels and winding roads. If you stop at Lac de Sainte-Croix you can rent a paddle boat for four people and actually paddle up the river that forms the canyon!

Aqua trekking through the gorges with a trained guide was a fantastic experience for all three in our family - one teenager and two of us in our fifties! The guide was from Buena Vista Rafting, and was superb (thanks, Alexis!). I cannot imagine a better way to experience the canyon on a summer's day. (Hiking and driving - and... More

It was really worth a visit because the gorge offers a spectacular view and it is truly beautiful. Please do get a pedal boat to go through the gorge on the water, it was unforgettable experience for me. Simply amazing!

Gorges du Verdon is our mandatory trip every time we visit Provence. I can’t easily describe all those views and sceneries, walking and activities, rocks, river curves, small beaches, narrow roads, hiking paths and the beautiful lake at the end of the river. The canyon is fantastic and beautiful, inevitable part of any trip to Provence!

In the United States we brag about the Grand Canyon as well we should. I would say the Gorges de Verdon are quite an attraction as well. We stopped at several points and took some fantastic pictures. Finished up the drive in the nice little town of Moustiers Ste. Marie. This is a day well spent for anyone.

We drove the total length of one side of the Gorge. Bad time to realise As the passenger I dont like heights. The driver was pretty scared also as there is absolutely no room for error. Extreme drops of the side of the road. But the views were well worth every new grey hair! Watch out for oncomming traffic and... More

Went there like 2 years ago with my family and it was breathtaking actually. We drove all the way around the canyon and the views were amazing! Then there is the lake which has the clearest water I have ever seen and it was really refreshing! I've been to Provence 3 times but this is probably my favourite area! Really... More
