Yes it cost us about £45 to get in (family of 4) but we had a fabulous 2.5hrs. Very well laid out, not too crowded, lots to see. Really enjoyable!

Above average aquarium with really good displays. Visited with an 8 yr old and 13 yr old both of which really enjoyed it. We were a little disappointed with the shark tank, not as impressive as expected. Extremely busy when we visited at 10am and there was a large queue when we left 2 hrs later. If you can go... More

Never seen anything like it, excellent exhibits, most educational. You almost can touch the fish, truly extraordinary aquarium.

A must see place that keeps all ages fascinated by the vast range of sea life. All is well laid out and clearly explained. On a personal note: I couldn't help but feel guilty at watching tonight's dinner swimming around. C'est la Vie.

I am an aquarium fanatic and this one is well worth a visit. Very well laid out, great audio commentary and some unusual features. It is also really good value compared to others I have visited, particularly my home one in London which is a complete rip off.

The aquarium in La Rochelle was just lovely. The price of 15 euro per adult was totally acceptable. The aquarium was very clean, lovely decorated, had quite a few species like some amazing Jelly fish, sharks, tropical fish etc it was nicely organised in sections, featured educational film in a comfy amphitheatre, sitting areas across the 2 floors, sneaky passages... Great arrangements of sea life in the tanks which can be viewed from many levels and all angels with interpretive signs in French and English. An aquarium with a sense of humor. We were there in July and saw a shark that had coexisted with a smaller shark for 5 years in the same tank eat the little guy and... More

This has to be best aquarium I have ever visited. During the summer it is open until 11pm. The aquarium was incredibly accessible for all. A vast majority of the tanks could be seen from all heights including from above. There was lots of places to stop and sit. There was much more than just looking at tanks, there was... More

A great place in La Rochelle which you are not going to miss it. I went there 6 months ago when I first arrived in La Rochelle.

We went to the Aquarium La Rochelle in May 2014. Pros: Very well displayed. Interesting for both adults and children, but mostly kid-oriented. Great for rainy days (you'll probably catch a few of them while visiting the Atlantic Coast!) and late afternoons and evenings, when everything else is already closed. Keep in mind, though, that it gets easily crowded. It... More
