I came here based a review that said it was the best in Europe. Of the ones I've been too, it's pretty much up there with the best. Kids loved the place. Adults loved the place. The fish are huge tanks and they seem much the better for it. The jellyfish displays are the best I've seen. DIsplays are in... More

This is a great place to spend a couple of hours and from our observations children really enjoy it. We had lunch in the excellent restaurant before touring the aquarium which starts by going doen in a lift on which you feel you are going down in the sea

This attraction was brilliant! The cost for an adult was 15 euros which was great value. There were alot of tanks filled with beautiful specimens from all over the world. There were quite a few places where you could just sit and watch the fish. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant . Great displays, quirky illusion displays on the floor...eg swarms of fish by your feet and great restaurant, easy parking.

It all starts from the lift down to the bottom of the aquarium where portholes portray you are submerging underwater, followed by a tunnel of jelly fish which you walk through. The seahorses caught my daughter's attention straight away. All the tanks were beautifully displayed with corals, plants and anemones. So many types of fish, all sorts of colours and... More

especially if you love to visit aquariums in Cities that you visit - which I do. Although this one is billed as 'the best' I would say it ranks up there with the best but could still improve a little. The experience was worth the visit, it was not too crowded even for July, and they had some interesting specimens... More

What a wonderful day out. Far to many sights to mention, the sharks are terrifying and are behind a huge glass tank but are literally inches away from you. Beautiful sea urchins, fish and crabs to name a few. A wonderful rain forest area with trees, plants and turtles. A cafe for refreshments and a lovely ice cream, slush puppy kiosk... More

We arrived in La Rochelle in the late afternoon and since we wanted to visit the aquarium, we bought our ticket around 6:00. This was a good move on our part because there were very few visitors at this time. I think it closed around 8:00, giving us enough time to check out the most popular exhibits. This is a... More

If you like Aquariums and want to spend 2/3 hours here then this is the place for you. The displays and info on offer were good, however I have seen better (Gijon for instance). The price was a little high and I know visiting in August is going to be busy, but would have preferred that they didn't let do... More

Bloody fantastic, what a day, what an experience! We loved this place and will no doubt be back again! You should allow 2 hours minimum and if you are from an English speaking country grab yourself a headset, this will really help you enjoy the experience more. I personally loved the rain forest section, which was great at the end!... More
