Cognac tasting tours tend to be very similar but they all have their own quirks and qualities. In this case the number one quality making the tour special is a guide, Mike, who we've usually had whilst there. He is English and does tours in both English and French - we've done both and Fench people with us have said... More

The distillery was officially closed, but opened especially for another large group and we were included with no problem. A really interesting visit and our guide even covered some of the tour in English to assist us

We liked the martell tour as it is informative and interesting with some good visual displays. The tasting is also unhurried and you can decide on the quality and therefore cost of your tour based on this. Generally they seem to have helpful guides. Good value

We were so very impressed with GH Martell Cognac and their facility and tour. We learned a lot about Cognac that we did not know. The tour is very nice as are the staff. It is a beautiful facility. The tasting was very nice and they have an outstanding Cognac. We were very impressed and would highly recommend.

Reserve some time to visit this cognac-house. Well organized, interesting. So different of wine making.

Not thrilled with the blandness of the tour (compared to some tours of US Distilleries and German Breweries), but it is a nice place to stop and see. I enjoyed the shop which included a small taste-testing area (for a fee).

7.5 euros including tasting is good value for tour of the old site in Cognac. Unfortunately they do not manufacture here now but it is still worth a visit just for the smells alone. A different style to the Remy tour on little train that we have done in the past when our kids were young.

Looking on this website we were spoilt with choice, working out which distillery to visit and took pot luck. This was really worthwhile, firstly the basic price of 7.50 euros which my wife took, not being a cognac drinker. I upgraded to the 20 euro tasting tour. The difference being the cognac's being tasted. The tour lasted 90 minutes was... More

You can tour the facilities with a bilingual guide (French-English). The guide will explain the history of the brand, how cognac is made, bottled and shipped around the world. Tasting at the end of the tour is a must.

We booked in advance for an English speaking tour. The basic tour is €7.50 which is the tour and a taster of one of the basic levels of Martell cognac (the VS or the VSOP). There are various levels of upgrade available where you get the tour and basic level taster but depending on how much extra you pay you... More
