My husband and I have visited Henessy, Martel and Remy Martin. All 3 tours were great but out of the 3 producers, we both liked the Cognac produced at Remy Martin the best by far. We tasted their VSOP and XO at the end of the tour. Remy Martin has a chef on staff (he used to be Chirac's chef... More

So you do have to go out of town to visit Remy Martin. The site goes back to the 1960's, I guess they outgrew their premises in town plus the the limitations imposed on the "in town" storage facilities due to the risk of fire may have prompted the move. Free car park across the road, simple reception, cost €12... More

The tour of the distillery is a short drive out of the town of Cognac but well worth it. The ambience and quality of both the tour and the buildings is just that bit more elegant and sophisticated than others. Our tour guide was professional but friendly and very knowledgable. The pairing of the canapés with the cognac was a... More

We had time for just one cognac house tour and picked Remy Martin, we were not disappointed! We hadn't booked a tour but turned up and they had one booked for shortly after so we were able to join in. Our guide was Adrian and he knew everything there was to know and answered all our questions effortlessly. The house... More

We were very fortunate to have a private tour of the House since we were the only ones with a reservation. Our tour guide was so professional and answered all of our questions. The tasting and pairing was phenomenal. Compared to another House we visited later in the day, the staff at Remy Martin was more personable. We can't wait... More

We had a wonderful tour of the house in cognac proper which was about 30 euros per person. The tour guide was very friendly and the group was small so she was open to any questions, and seemed really passionate about the company and the process. To see where louis xiii was stored (in hundred year old barrels) was really... More

Yesterday I visited the Remy Martin facility in the heart of Cognac, France. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist, in a showroom of very expensive (and some very affordable) Cognacs made by Remy Martin. Bradley gave me the tour of the cellars. He was very enthusiastic and clear in his presentation. He answered all questions succinctly. He had a... More

Compared to the other domains (Hennessy for e,g.), the presentation is clearer and the staff more pleasant! We really liked the lady (Alisa) who presented us the domain. She was enthusiastic but in the same time really knowledgeable. She made our visit more pleasant. The Cognac tasting contains 2 glasses (1 VSOP and 1 XO). Strong recommendation!

We have a small B&B in Charente and guests had been asking about vineyards and interesting tours near our location in Abzac. We decided to visit Remy Martin to see if it would be a good visit to recommend. We had an amazing tour, booking the visit was very easy and all the staff accommodating and helpful. We are English... Just to clarify, we visited the Domaine in Merpins, not the Maison in the town of Cognac. Compared to our other distillery visit, Remy Martin had a more refined and polished presentation ; the staff were dressed in suits. Some people may enjoy this formality, while others may find it stand-offish. We felt relieved that we made an effort to... More
