Of all of the cognac houses I visited, this was my favorite. The grounds are lush and beautiful, the cellar masters and pr personal eager to answer questions and provide education, and the lunch was one of the best meals of the trip. If you are tired of rushing and touring, step back to a quieter time. In and around Cognac you will find a pleasant subdued beauty that is a mix of old Roman and Victorian that begs not to be looked at but experienced. cognac is a lovely town, nice shops and restaurants and a lovely medeivel setting. the hennessy tour was really interesting a boat takes you on a short trip of the river before dropping you off on the other side, you are then taken on a tour to see the cognac being made and stored etc. we had our baby with... more
