I like it so much! We walked in old city at evening and we could see different figures on buildings everywhere ! That was really beautiful and made this small city much more intresting.

I took my three boys (9,7 & 5 yrs) on a weekend trip from Paris (2.5 hour drive) to Le Mans. We all agreed that the lightshow was one of the best things we had ever seen anywhere in the world (and it is free!). It is extremely artistic and absolutely beautiful. The old town centre itself is one of...

Certainly worth seeing. The city tourist web-site explains what this is all about but no photos or written description can really do it justice. In essence there are several buildings in the medieval city which are illuminated with multiple projection technology to create stunning facades. Most of these are animated so these ancient facades come alive with images of people,...

you can't visit le mans and not see this. 2 hours of different light shows to music in different parts of the old town. stunning effects especially both sides of the cathedral and the roman walls. pick up a guide from the tourist info point for your route or just follow the crowd
Truely an amazing experience, starts around 10pm, a must see if in Le Mans or surrounding area. Never seen anything like it, just wonderful, and Free. Website and pamphlets just don't do it justice. Enjoyed wondering the streets seeing all the shows.
Went thinking it would be same old light show we have seen elsewhere (Rome, LOndon etc) but this is really good and kept and very tired 5 year old entertained for over 2 hours. Could not drag him away. Need to time in well to follow the story around but all the scenes play on a loop so don't worry...

We visited Le Mans to see the motor museum and to drive the race track, the Nuit des Chimeres starts every summer evening and is quite unique, an otherwise, dreary ish town is transformed by the brilliant light and projected image show. Look it up on the web and it doesn't really do it justice, the scale and clarity of...

This was a must-see after our first experience of the video-mapping technique during the Madness part of the Jubilee Concert. ('Our House', etc.)
Start at the East end of the cathedral (easy parking) and move at leisure around the various scenes. If you're not a Francophone, don't worry about trying to follow any storyline, just admire the artistry. And if...

We have travelled to many places but have never seen anything like this. It was fantastic: a light show with life sized people and dragons and all sorts moving about on the castle walls, the cathedral walls - in fact in 7 different locations. I particularly loved the dame blanche who appears in a fountain of water. This really is...

If you see this, bring a good camera to capture the beauty of this light show. I liked the one from the back of the Cathédrale St-Julien more than the one at the front.
