We visited the Cathedral during the day and enjoyed and admired it but the best show I have ever seen came after sundown when we watched the laser light show of the stories of Joan of Arc and Claude Monet. Everyone was in awe. DO NOT MISS THIS LIGHT SHOW. I know it is finished for this season but hopefully... More

Yes, Thank you for that unmistakeable Cathedral that is in so many paintings of Monet. We were actually THERE - in PERSON - and Yes, scaffolding was present, but we could see what it would be through a squinty eye...... It will be B E A U T I F U L !!!!!!! It was awesome to be in this... More

Took a rental car to this very busy city. Had to drive around a bit to find a spot that required metered pay. The Cathedral is currently being worked on and has scaffolding in the front. What's amazing is when you walk outside of the structure, you see many of the figures don't have their heads and other parts due... More

While traveling on a Viking River Cruise down the Seine we were fortunate to be in Rouen in the evening to see the light show on the Cathedral. Between the lights and the music it was an experience that should not be missed if you are in that area.

Another beautiful church. Nearly every major town has a Notre Dame cathedral and they're all beautiful. I suppose one must pay each at least a cursory visit, but unless you have great interest in church history or architecture, there's really no reason to invest a great amount of time.

Rouen Cathedral, as it’s commonly called, is very old, very large, and very pleasing to the eye. It’s easy to find, too. The cast iron spire, the tallest in France, tops out at almost 500 feet and is visible for a long, long way. The main façade is one of the most intricate I’ve ever seen. The carvings and other... After visiting churches in Paris, and other parts of Paris, we were a little disappointed that this one seemed like more of the same

We didn't get to spend too much time there as it was late when we arrived, I want to go back and just stay in Rouen for a few days to explore all the goodies that lay hidden in this lovely city. The city center is full of shops and attractions. A must go to!
