Beautifully quiet cathedral worth popping into if you're in town. On a sunny day the sun lights up the stained glass. Stay as little or as long as you wish.

Quiet, gorgeous cathedral. I found the perfect rosary in the gift shop! Loved, loved, loved hearing the bells each hour!

No wonder Claude Monet painted the facade of this Catherdal so often. It is a fascinating study in light and dark. The outside is being cleaned so you get an idea of what it once looked like. The inside is a wonder. To stand at the back is to be amazed at what people can accomplish when something is important... More

This is an architectural excellence. This is simply beautiful from both inside and outside.Cleaning of the cathedrale is in process. This is a huge structure with a very tall iron tower.Once upon a time this was the tallest tower of the world.

It's probably fair to say it's not the best cathedral in France, but it's impressive all the same and definitely worth a visit if you are in Rouen. It has a beautiful facade with intricate carvings and statues (although it was undergoing some restoration when we visited) and set in a lovely old area of the city.

Nothing particularly remarkable, but it does show scars from world war 2. Very cool to see if you're in the area

Nice cathedral but under maintenance...but nothing different from others places. The city is nice in a global way and not to see particular places.

Visited as part of short break in Rouen. The building is amazing in sheer size and the different perspective. Take time to look closely outside fully around the building and then from streets a little further away. Various historical tombs inside include Richard the Lionhearts heart, his brother and also Rollo first Duke of Normandy. Give yourself at least 45... More

Was relatively impressed when I saw the inside of this cathedral. Only thing I've ever like in Rouen. Grand job. Worth throwing your head like.

The final resting place of Richard the Lionheart's heart, the cathedral has had it's share of natural disasters over the centuries. It was being renovated when I visited, so the ornate facade was obscured. The Cathedral was once the tallest building in Europe.
