It is such a beautiful cathedral itself. And there is a Light show that project to church façade. Just amazing show.

An absolutely beautiful cathedral! A definite must-see while in Rouen. If you go in the next couple months, make sure you visit the church after dark to see the amazing light show which uses the cathedral as a canvas to tell the story of Joan of Arc in one act, and salute art in the next. It was incredible. We... More

We were on our way to Bordeaux, but wanted to break the journey(9 hours) after Dover to Calais ferry from England. We randomly chose Rouen to stay the night, but were pleasantly surprised when we drove in late into the night to find out what a pretty city it is. And then in the morning, to discover this amazing cathedral,... More

Essential to visit when in Rouen preferably without the current scaffolding. Tomb of Richard I (Lionheart) inside (although apparently only his heart). Saw the cathedral the day before seeing Monet's paintings of the exterior at Musee d'Orsay.

We visited the cathedral during the day and enjoyed its grandeur. One evening we managed to catch part of the son et lumiere which was truly awe inspiring.

So beautiful inside, and the spire outside is so different from any other cathedral, we visited on a sunny day when the stained glass windows were really vividly lit up inside. There is a really good display of paintings by the same artist of different interpretations of Rouen cathedral, as well as an exhibition detailing the history of the building.... More

A very impressive cathedral inside, not so much in the outside though since there's some scaffolding out in the main entrance. There's a small exhibition inside with photographs and information about the cathedral which helps you appreciate it even more since it was almost completely destroyed at some point in time. The ceilings are impossibly high! Don't forget to visit... More

There is scaffolding on part of the outside of this church at the moment, however you can still appreciate the beauty of this church. The outside is far more impressive than the inside, which appears plain compared to other churches. No cost to enter.

I thought the church was really beautiful. It was really interesting to see what the cathedrale looked like during WWII and how it is now. Rouen saw a lot of destruction so it was a nice glimpse into the past. I am really disappointed I missed the lights they use at night. From the pictures I had see it looked... More
