A look into the past

This museum is housed in a medieval building which is interesting in itself. The collection is eclectic but interesting.

Even if you don't go inside, you can appreciate this museum as a masterpiece of an ancient building, it is like walking through history in the streets of Honfleur - a very special place

Sorry Boudin, I'm a fan of studying and learning more about the long history of charming Honfleur. Amazing what changes Honfleur has been through over the ages. Enjoy ....

These are some wonderful old buildings and is a step back in time to see how they would have lived here long ago. the place is well kept and very interesting.

This "museum" contains a collection of artifacts covering many years -- most of which are not organized in any way to make them accessible. 19th century items are mixed with 16th century items and the explanatory signage is quite limited (even if you read French). There are some interesting items here, but they could be displayed better to tell the... More

Small little museum that takes about 20 minutes to walk through. My wife enjoyed more than me. With the Honfleur Museum Pass it is effectively free if you see the Boudin and Satie exhibits.

Worth a visit to see how people lived in old Honfleur, the rooms were set out in an interesting way. Wouldn't be any good for wheelchair users as no access. Also shut for 2 hours at lunchtime so make sure you time your visit carefully.

Set in old buildings including Greniers au Sel. Setting was brilliant showing off oldest buildings in Honfleur. A must to visit.

I visited this town on a one day visit from a cruise ship. The harbour was wonderful, full of private sailing boats. cafes and bars were plentiful at very reasonable prices, a pint of local beer was 2.30 euro and a glass of wine 2.45. The harbour sports a very old carousel that is very well maintained and is on... More

When you buy a ticket for this museum, it also entitles you to entry at the Marine Museum. The Musee de Vieux Honfleur is extremely interesting and its exhibits are wonderfully presented and preserved. They provide a fact sheet about each room you visit and the English translation is absolutely perfect.
