A little difficult to find, but worth it.

Set in old buildings including Greniers au Sel. Setting was brilliant showing off oldest buildings in Honfleur. A must to visit.

I visited this town on a one day visit from a cruise ship. The harbour was wonderful, full of private sailing boats. cafes and bars were plentiful at very reasonable prices, a pint of local beer was 2.30 euro and a glass of wine 2.45. The harbour sports a very old carousel that is very well maintained and is on... More

When you buy a ticket for this museum, it also entitles you to entry at the Marine Museum. The Musee de Vieux Honfleur is extremely interesting and its exhibits are wonderfully presented and preserved. They provide a fact sheet about each room you visit and the English translation is absolutely perfect.

This is a very cool old house in which each room is set up with a different theme. I loved walking around and getting a flavor for old-time Honefleur. The prison in the back was pretty cool too!

This was a great place to see what life was really like in old time Honfleur. For example, there is an old prison and some old clothes to look at. I found it very interesting and would definitely go there again.

We visit it with a teenager who actually enjoy it! The place is so old and even the smells takes you back in time. There's so much to see of the live in town. Even the clothing from back then! Be really into cool things or you'll think this is boring. The best you get for your money is to... More

A nice small museum in an old buidling that gives a real feel to the early living in Honfleur, even a prison!

Once we had found this Museum, which is located down a very small alley off a road behind the front row of Harbour buildings, we thought it was charming. It is a bit like Dennis Severs house is London, if you know it, in that it has been made to look inside like a traditional property furnished with local furniture... More

Set on a picturesque small alley type side street, this old house and former lockup for 2 prisoners contained interesting artifacts. Rooms were completely furnished with many objects of ordinary life for a seaside sailor family - main room, kitchen, bedroom etc. various culinary items and period costumes. Most enjoyable instead of all the trinket shops.
