We visited here in August 2012. After hearing from a friend that she had been disappointed, we were extremely pleased with the gardens. It was very hot, but there were lots of shady places to sit or stand. The gardens were a riot of colour and the waterlily pond looked just as in his paintings. You could recognise where he... More

Beautiful flowers & landscaping, interesting house & furnishings. Pleasant walking path around the gardens. Nice water garden, too. Worth a visit.

A must see for anyone who appreciates Monet's paintings. To be present in his gardens and view the actual lily pond was wonderful. The grounds are beautifully maintained and his house is charming. Took loads of photos here, as the flowers are so beautiful. We were on a bus tour, so did not have enough time to stroll the village... More

The gardens were in full bloom and it was amazing to see the water lilies. The fact that our tour arrived first thing in the morning gave us an advantage to see it before the crowds.

The garden was very peaceful even with so many crowds, but it was Saturday morning. The lily pond was lovely and the famous bridge was still there to have your photo taken on, as was the rowing boat. The house was very pretty and I would have loved to live there. There is a room full of Monet's paintings. There... More

We visited on a very hot August day this enhanced the very beautiful gardens, the Water lily pond glistened ....it was inspiring.Very reasonable price and free parking. Take a stroll up the hill to the Church and grave of Monet. Memorable day and a photographers dream.

This summer I visited Giverny with my two boys (14 and 16) as part of an extended trip in France. I really expected that I would have to drag the boys through the garden and house, but they enjoyed it. I won't go so far as to say that they LOVED it, but we spent about 2 hours there and there... Buy SNCF ticke form Paris to Vernon, around 1.5 hours. Buy a return bus ticket in Vernon. As for the ticket for thegarden, better buy a online ticket so that you can avoid to wait at a long que.

Beautiful house and gardens. Monet was very interesting and this brings everything to life. Lines are incredible, which makes it hard to relax and enjoy it. You have got to see the gardens in person to appreciate the how magnificent they are..

Gardens were spectacular! An amazing insight into the life of Monet. Very popular though, so get there early to avoid the crowds.
