This Museum gives a great overview of events that took place in the Bayeux area. Lots of interesting displays (no photos allowed) and history is on display. It was just enough detail without going overboard. When we departed the museum, we headed for Omaha Beach.

The museum was modern the film very good but the exhibits were little different to a book. Lots of photos, lots of reading but the physical exhibits were rather run of the mill and did ny inspire. A great shame as we went to quite a few museums which were much better.

Although smaller than the Caen museum, the story and power of the invasion is wonderfully stated with a most informative method of photos and music and displays. It does not overwhelm you with detail, yet if you wish to delve further you can. I have read much about the invasion but this museum is a must see before you head... More

In the middle of the museum so it's not possible to go before or after - a major gaffe! Otherwise a fairly unspectacular attraction. Tip: park for free & take the little road train to explore the town before deciding where to visit on foot (everywhere is walkable, this place is 5 mins from the Cathedral, 10 mins from the... More

Medium sized WW2 museum, with a few tanks, cannons, vehicles and a lot of information on the Normandy invasion. Entry costs 6€ and it took me a good 1.5hours to really check it out. Especially great with rain since it's all indoors.

Excellent film on the D-day landings, with the mistakes and frustrations made clear. Not just a Hollywood version of the landings, showing what a gamble it was, carried out successfully largely because we had more troops to keep pouring in

Great movie presentation that provided very interesting background to the Normandy invasions. My husband really enjoyed this museum.

it is a nice museum , but very touristic, lots of shops and souvenirs everywhere ..... the movie is very good, explaining how the beach got prepared and how ports were built for the ships to get to D-Day . Uniforms , medals , and wars objects of all kind were in display .

Tremendous amount of artifacts from the Battle, located right next to British Cemetary. Great video available in most languages. Looks at the Battle from both sides, very informative. Makes one appreciate the vast numbers involved AND lost

If you come to Bayeux set some time aside for this attraction, it is mostly static but with some very good exhibits and explanations, its within walking distance from the town centre
