Our trip to Normandy was enhanced by our guide, Stuart. He made history become alive through his research, enthusiasm, and prior visits with veterans of the time period. Our accommodations were lovely and to be able to watch the sun rise over the fields was memorable. Stuart's spouse, Jenny, added to the experience with her kindness and hospitality. Our one... More

Stuart must be the most knowledgeable historian (he has written an exceptional history & guidebook on D-day) and guide of the Normandy Invasion. His passionate recall of the events, and his memory & recounting of the real statistics and details (not Hollywood's versions) are amazing. His recounting of individual soldiers stories from personally knowing veterans over the years, put a... More

We took a day trip from Paris to do a tour of the D-Day beaches, and we could have definitely spent much longer. That being said, Stuart was fantastic and we saw so much in the few hours we had. At the sites we would walk around and there were lots of tour guides talking to their groups, but there... More

We just completed a week-long travel through Brittany and Normandy, and Stuart organized and guided us through a one-day tour including important sites such as Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, American and German cemeteries. He knows his history and recounts battles in a powerful, engagement way. It was the highlight of our trip. If we return, we'll ask Stuart to take... More

If you want to focus your experience to see and learn about the battle(s) of Normandy and D-Day, Stuart Robertson is an outstanding private guide and historian. We chose a three day tour and stay of four nites at their bed & breakfast in Neuville au Plain. Stuart and his wife Jenny were outstanding hosts. We will never forget them... More

No matter how much one reads, a guide to various WWI & WWII sites is absolutely necessary. One may have knowledge and question, but the guide easily assembles the puzzles.

We just returned to our hotel in Paris after spending the day with Stuart Robinson on his single day D-Day tour. Stuart is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. His knowledge of the history, military strategy, geography, politics, and global context of the events that occurred in the Normandy area is truly remarkable. He is eager to share his insights to... Stuart Robinson's Normandy Battle Tours is a first rate comprehensive, historical and emotional event not to be missed. His first hand interviews of returning veterans added an emotional and thought provoking dimension to our detailed four-day visit of the Normandy Battlefield Beaches. We were met at Carentan train station and stayed in the 350 year-old bed and breakfast where he... More
