Definitely one of the highlights of the Old City. Very well preserved on the inside and outside. Be sure to go into the inner courtyard and look up at all the carvings.

This is really a historical building located just in the Grand Place, so it was one of the main building for activity of people in the past. The interior with famous people in France name on the wall, can be something interesting. Beside the building itself, the antique-second hand book market inside maybe is the main attraction. However, the building... More

We walked through it rather than visited it as there isn't anything to see really and nothing of interest was being sold on the market stalls. You may as well see it while you are in Lille centre but I wouldn't get excited about it.

La Grand Place in Lille is such a beautiful and impressive square, and the absolute highlight is the Vielle Bourse - the Old Stock Exchange, built in 1653. The style is Flemish renaissance, and the whole building is decorated within an inch of its life with swags and garlands, caryatids and fierce lion dogs. There are entrances on each of... More

wonderful house, very nice flee-market-style book-stands in the court with graphic art, comics, vinyl-LPs and such

I've discovered this place while visiting the city with my Swedish friend, I'm from Lille but I had never got into the old stock Exchange before (what I shame I know). It is so pretty and amateurs of old books, posters, etc. will love to walk around and find the special something! When you're between those walls, you feel like... More

Uniquely beautiful and historic building with a "flea market" inside. Not open every day, and not every stand open on open days. Many old books, prints and collectibles.

The building is interesting, but you should stop by for the flea market even if just to see. They usually have some books and old magazines and such on sale. It's not much, but it'll be on your path to any destination in Lille or a very short detour, so why not check it out.

The exterior of the building is very beautiful. Inside the old stock exchange you have some people selling their old crap. Could have been converted to a place for food and music
