This lovely old stock exchange is worth at least a quarter of an hour of anyone's time ... Pause and look at the grand exterior, then enjoy a wander round the interior courtyard (it is free to enter) with its swags and sculptured details, or watch a game of chess or browse through the old posters, books, LPs, etc. Easy... There are many attractive buildings in Lille, sadly though we didn't like the atmosphere of the place. It is run down and there are a lot of homeless people on the streets (lots of children on the streets too). When we tried to park up there were dodgy guys in some of the car parks asking for money (even though... More

Make the effort to visit this place in the middle of town. Very interesting history and an array of antique and antique book stalls. Splendid even in the rain.

Towering structure. Dominates skyline. Tower has wonderful sculpted features. You can envision the financial deals that were struck in this very building. Gives the impression of wealth.

Definitely one of the highlights of the Old City. Very well preserved on the inside and outside. Be sure to go into the inner courtyard and look up at all the carvings.

This is really a historical building located just in the Grand Place, so it was one of the main building for activity of people in the past. The interior with famous people in France name on the wall, can be something interesting. Beside the building itself, the antique-second hand book market inside maybe is the main attraction.
