We took our Daughters here for a couple of hours in the afternoon and found it excellent for a short visit. We couldn't believe that it was free, we normally pay huge entrance fees in the UK! The zoo was small but had some beautiful animals to observe, my Daughters favourite was the Red Pandas,. All the facilities were excellent... More

Not bad for a free zoo. A few large african animals (rhino). OK for passing an hour. Easy to walk around. Outside cafe/bar close by.

Animals all healthy and happy. Good for kids and parents of which we are neither but we still enjoyed it

Liked this zoo so much we went twice! Nice to see animals in near natural settings. Nice place to eat lunch outside.

I went on a Monday morning at 10 - wonderfully quiet and conducive to a good bit of photography! The zoo also seem to have a spooky ability to make groups of schoolchildren disappear - I saw a couple of groups appear and despite the zoo being very compact with no indoor areas, they seemed to vanish completely. No bad... More

You don't get much for free, so when visiting the Citadel take a stroll around the zoo. Birds, monkeys, zebras, reptiles, rhinos and many more

We were surprised at the types of animals in this free zoo near the citadel. Ranging from parrots to rhinos to a night exhibit. There are clean toilets inside zoo compound and a place to eat and drink just outside. Animals appeared to be well cared for, monkeys on island had lots of green space to play in.

Yes, the zoo is free of charge and it's a very calm and relaxing place to visit for a walk. It's captivating to watch the wide array of animals (mostly small to medium size). For that, I would say that this would be rated "very good." However, it's the twenty-first century and my views have changed and I feel like... More
