A 10-15 minute walk from the Grand Place will take you to the Parc Zoologique. There's free entry and it was really quiet when we visited - just after they opened on a Saturday morning. It's quite small but the have Rhino's, giant tortoise, Zebra, snakes and some exotic birds - amongst others. We'd previously visited the free zoo in... More

Not a big place but tidy, smart and free. Easy access for all and enough to entertain the children for a morning

A fairly small little zoo, but with some really interesting animals and what looks to be very good facilities for the animals in question. Particular star of the show is the red panda, but all around a good fun afternoon out. Come here every time we visit the city and I dare say we will continue to.

It is quite difficult to visit a public attraction when it closes annually for effectively two-thirds of the winter. A number of things are closed in Lille on Sunday so you'd expect something like the zoo to be open. The official website also has conflicting information with the French and English versions and designed inconsistently. Poor form.

We were a little gutted that the zoo was closed NYE and Day . Lots of families clearly thought it would be open also but there was no sign up to say why and the notice board implied it should be open but there were just locked gates and sad looking children

This little zoo, situated a short distance from Lille centre, is a must. It may be smaller than many but it's free. That's unique nowadays. There are a fair number of animals and birds on show and the baboons were really funny and entertaining, so much so that we went back the next day to watch them again. Whether you... More

Well this was a unexpectedly fun hour or so, it's not huge but it is free and there are a good range of animals to see. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. It is a short walk from the centre. The help information is good to support the exhibits. This was suggested by friends and I heartily recommend it to... More

Putting aside the weather we had it was a great day out and well worth seeing. I would recommend this place to families.
