Not a whole lot here, just chain fashion retailers like H&M. The street isn't marvellously clean and isn't worth 'visiting'- but it is the main pedestrian connection between the stations and Republique Square so visitors to Lille will no doubt walk down it.

The Rue Bethune is a wonderful street in Lille and probably the most happenning place in the city. One can find numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and other shopping destinations here located under some wonderful buildings. A perfect place to roam around and enjoy an evening.

Lots of fine shops, cinemas and places to take a coffee break. A must see if you are in the Lille area.

This walking street is very typical of the city's architecture and a pleasure to walk through. If you need to shop but don't feel like hitting the mall, this street is your best shot at finding what you want. It has the Galleries Lafayette and all the other smaller stores. Plus, if you feel like grabbing a bite, a waffle... More

Loads of shops that you see everywhere in Europe's shopping centres, some nice bars and you can buy croustilliants (sp) which are mini doughnuts coated in sugar and a great snack or brekky, similar to churros.
