A visit to Place du Capitole is an absolute must for any Toulouse visitor. The square is dominated by the impressive brick and marble town hall. You can go inside for free. It’s worth it just to look at the friezes and paintings. Thankfully, the powers that be have ensured that the corporate logos of all the retail outlets on... More

This is a truly beautiful building and the guided brochure is in several languages. Entry is free. But be aware can be closed while weddings take place

It takes you 15 minutes to enjoy this intetesting place. And maybe you spend majority of them in the Salle Henri-Martin apreciating his style of painting like me.

We were very lucky having a fantastic evening in the opera house, with Prokofjev Marriage is the cloister. Martin Duncan did a brilliant job to put on scene this opera.

The building was closed to the public the first time we tried to visit, due to a wedding. Thank goodness we returned the next day. The inside of this building is as spectacular as is the exterior. And it costs nothing to enter. From the painted ceilings, to the huge paintings, to the statues, to the .... EVERYTHING. It is... More

It's small but elegant; OK in loudness, but some locations on the upper floor have no good view / és petit però elegant; correcte en sonoritat, però algunes localitats del pis superior no tenen bona visualització

A great classical opera house interior with very comfortable seats and good acoustic. Well worth seeing.

On the whole I love going to the opera but here I am always disapointed by the places available. Unless you book on the first day of ticket opening the view is often poor and the stqff are unable to advise whether the scenes will be visible or not. I prefer The Halle au Grain.

The outside of this building is striking and many people just bypass the visit inside which is worth at least 20 minutes and it is FREE ! Go on the second floor to visit the murals and read about the history of the place . Really interesting !

Capitole Square is The square of Toulouse. Built by the "capitouls", the governing magistrates of the city from 1190, the Capitole hosts the city hall and a classic Italian-style theater. The oldest parts of the existing buildings are from the 16th century, but the façade was built in 1750. The Square itself is lovely, especially with sunshine or at sunset... More
