This museum was really a great surprise. Unfortunatelly we only had 1 hour for the visit and could not enjoy the masterpieces as long as we would have liked. Next time I will be in Toulouse, I hope to find the time to finish the visit. more

Recently,I spent several days enjoying fine paintings and sculpture at Toulouse's huge,Musee de Augustins. I studied French Medieval Sculpture and Romanesque Sculpture from several Toulouse houses of worship. I studied and enjoyed fine paintings by Perugino,Gabriel Blanchard,Esteban Murillo,Nicholas Tournier,Jean Marie Pierre Vien,Francois de Troy,Francesco Guardi,Thomas Couture,Corot,Rixens,J.P Laurens,Achille Lauge,Edouard Manet,and of course,Henri Toulouse-Lautrec.This museum had a series of gargoyles from a... more
