I had a personal journey to Lourdes a place I never ever had on my bucket list. I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the history of this remarkable place. I'm not a very religious person but spiritually I truly felt a presence. There is so much to learn and see about Bernadette Soubirous and her divine experience. Unfortunately I was... More

Hotel is located in close proximity to the grotto, thus making it most convenient for access and especially convenient for people who are not able to walk too far.

I have just returned from my 7 th visit. I travel each year and get something different each time. This is a peaceful place best visited in the early hours of the morning. There are no cermonies then and time is your own. You do not have to be a devout Catholic to get something from your visit. if you... More

I guess it's always busy but that's ok. We arrived at the same time as the military and this just adds more to this it. It's quite moving really and you should not mis any of it.

For me the best place in the world with the divinity that surrounds this place. I could go on about this place but suffice to say that you will love being here.

The difference between "inside the sanctuary walls" and "outside" the walls. Peacefull vs crazy tourist attractions.

Obviously - really only for those who are 'open' to it being a devotional & spiritual place. Plan your stay by looking at the various 'events' on the large notice board... More

The sanctuary is stunningly beautiful. Although there's a lot of tourist (everyday!), but you can still feel the holiness of the place. It's a lovely place to stay.

We arrived late Saturday afternoon in April so we did a quick tour of the place. It was peaceful. There was no line at the grotto and we were able to just take our time and be at the presence of the Blessed Mother. We then tried to find out where the bath was so when we go back following... More
