My parents are both Catholic and I am raised Catholic, but I'm not a church-goer and I dont have a strond connection with religion or the bible. Still, this place is really impressive. I had not been back here since my school days when as volunteers my school annually brought over the sick and disabled on a pilgrimage. Brought back so many memories watching the daily Torchlight Procession this time round.

Moving experience. To witness the long line of people seeking assistance with their ailments, the mood set by the custodians, the solemness of the location, all set a somber and holy experience.

It was like a dream that I visited the Grotto. Since being a child in Catholic school I always dreamed of visiting the Sanctuary, it did not disappoint

Everyone must at least go in to the baths and have the most spiritual experience of their lives. It is a beautiful moment and one that everyone who experiences it will feel total different. Even though you step into ice cold waters you are dry when you leave, and putting on your clothes are not a struggle, how do you explain... More

We were sight seeing in the area, a few years ago and decided to take a peak, not really religious, but wow... What an experience. You have to go to believe it. The sanitorium is next to Lourdes and people pour out to the Mass in their wheel out beds, wheel chairs etc. the Candles range in sizes to gigantic.... More

A wonderfully 5 days in Lourdes. Visiting the shrine and taking part in the services. The grotto is the shrine where Mary the Mother of Jesus appeared to the young girl Bernadette. She visited her every day for 2 weeks. She asked her to ask the Priest to have a Church built there and for people to come and pray.... More

Much has been said of the Sanctuary and the repair after the floods of 2011 must be commended. It is still a great place of peace and harmony, with people of all nations mingling well. Security is very good and the members of the Hospitalitie must be thanked for the great work they do

People who are not respectful to such place in the way they dress, though for normal places decently dressed for the sanctuary should be more careful
