This eclectic museum has a wide variety of art. While I am not necessarily a glass fan, the Daum pieces on display are very nice. I lucked into visiting on what seemed like a quiet day. The staff was very helpful explaining some of the pieces. I spent about 2 hours and felt like I got a nice taste of... More

The museum is conveniently located on Stanislas Square, and like much art, some is just weird! This is a nice collection of art no matter your tastes. The top two floors have more art from the 1400's-1700's, while the bottom floor is more contemporary with some art installations. My husband and I found a few beautiful pieces that were similar... Was not busy, but had great installations. particularly liked one where you went into a room and there were colored lights hanging everywhere and reflected on mirrored walls, ceiling and in water below.

The collection here is one of the best (outside of Paris) in France. You must see the Picasso, Caravaggio and the Friants, but there are also Monet, Manet, and in the basement...the most amazing Daum Glass you have ever seen. Even if you don't like glass you will be wowed by the excellent display.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday morning visiting. Some amazing art work that I did not expect to see in a small city like Nancy.

We enjoyed several hours of looking and wandering in this small art museum. There is great light and just a very pleasant environment. We enjoyed a good variety of styles/genres of painting, glass and ceramics, which included some regional artists. The location is right on the Square Stanislas surrounded by many places for a meal or coffee.

Love glass and the art nouveau style? This museum houses the Daum factory collection of art nouveau glass as well as some exceptional pieces from Galle. The upper floors feature fine sculpture and painting from a variety of periods and those works are fresh and interesting, even if you are coming from the Louvre and might feel a bit jaded... More

This museum was renovated 5 years ago and the combinaison of the new and old architecture was successful. Begin your visit at the second floor with the oldest paintings and get down in a long way until the grouid floor with its modern works of art (the latter are a little bit disappointing). Do not forget to visit the basement... More

The museum shows an interesting range of pictures of different styles during the centuries. They have a special exhibition about the renaissance which is also very interesting.
