We come to Perpinyà/Perpignan specially every year for the Visa Pour l'Image. It's a perfect weekend as you spend one day in the city and the other you can visit the Roussillon region, with a lot of treasures waiting for you. Highlights would be Cotlliure/Collioure in the seaside and the romanesque churches (St. Martí del Canigó, St. Miquel de Cuixà...),... More

The Visa Pour l'Image festival is an event where you will meet, greet and be inspired by the dedication of photojournalists. Days can be spent visiting the numerous exhibitions and evenings at Place Republique public screenings will be more than memorable. And you get to enjoy the south of France

This event brings together the world's best photo journalists, aspiring photo journalists, and those who appreciate the importance of their work. In past years I have criticised the abundance of war photographs. I got the feeling that the shock factor was becoming too important in the exhibitions. This year there were pictures of war, but there was enough reporting of... More

Free talks by panels of professionals, some of which are also open to the public, are held in the Palais des Congres, with headsets available on deposit of id,... More

Hobnob with the best photojournalists on the planet, share experiences with your friends, and be astounded, amazed, a little horrified and stunned by the massive exhibitions that take place throughout Perpignan the first week of September each year. It's a *must*, Perpignan's best feature, IMHO.

My second visit to this great show. I couldn't visit all the exhibitions (more than 100 with the off festival) but went to see as many as possible during my 3 days trip to Perpignan. The Off festival this year, was especially rich, more than 80 shows. Beside, walking around the old city was a pleasure. A must see...

This extensive exhibition of photo journalism is located in numerous different venues in the old part of Perpignan. A great way of exploring parts of the city not likely to be visited otherwise. The content is of excellent quality although the subject matter is often disturbing; to see the whole exhibition in a day is a daunting experience.
