Our visit here was one of the best! Madeleine guided us through a tour of the grounds and Chateau which is the home of Count and Countess Henri de Colbert. We then had a talk and wine tasting by their son Pierre de Colbert which was both informative and enjoyable, this was followed by the most amazing buffet organised by... More

We had a great time there. Our guide was so nice and kind, she always tried to speak slowly in French to make sure that everybody understand everything. It was really interesting and memorable, we had so much fun. The wine tasting was a great experience and we learnt a lot as well. :) Thank you!

Nice and recommendable experience! By paying small amount you get access to castle´s gardens and introduction into their home made produced wines. Wine tasting was a great experience thanks to the lady who invested a lot of time in it and shared a lot of information about history and organisation of the winegardens and the castle, as about the whole... The most unique tour of a chateau I've had... the family still lives in the building, so the rooms which were exquisite and filled with priceless artifacts nonetheless had a "lived in" feel with some personal touches (I liked the juxtaposition of an oil painting portrait from a hundred years ago or more, with a framed photograph of the current... The Chateau de Flaugergues is a pleasant surprise. It is located in the "suburbs" of Montpellier, but was a country house built in the late 1600s. The descendants of the original family still live there. The interior of the house is spectacular, interesting, and filled with priceless furniture and artifacts. Our tour guide, Madeleine, was amazing and personable. She gave... More

We started with a tour of the Chateau. The guide was perfect! She conducted the tour in both French and English. Her knowledge of the history of the Chateau and every nuance of its holdings made the tour enjoyable for my visiting relatives and my children!

To visit a still lived in chateau was a very interesting experience. Decoration, furniture and the buildings themselves span many centuries. Best part of the visit though were the gardens: palm trees, coconut trees bamboos etc. A French garden, an English version, the olive trees alley, the vineyard. The wine they bottle on the premises add to the interest of... More

nice walk in the garden with children. we were happy because of the strawberries and rasperries we ate with the permission of the hostess. the gardener Christophe showed us the turtle, frog and fishes. we spent easily 1h in this beautiful garden and have to come back to visit the chateau which look interesting. No time to taste the wine... More

Call ahead to reserve a tour time and ask for directions. We didn't have a car, and found out it was much easier to reach than we realized. Originally we took a tram, then a bus, then walked for 20 minutes. Heading back to Montpellier, we walked 15-20 minutes to reach the mall & found our way back easily from... More

I planned a trip to Flaugergues for a surprise for my husband. I had booked lunch but it was very busy and service was a little slow. It s a restaurant du marche. 3 choices per course and when they are gone, they are gone. At 1.10pm our first choice was already sold out. We chose again and the food... More
