I agree with the post “Directions to the Beaches at Montpellier” but the bus now leaves from a different place. You still need to take tram line 1 but get off at the penultimate stop "Place de France" to catch the 106 bus, rather than the earlier "Port Marianne" stop as that post says. I wandered around "Port Marianne" looking... More

Huge clean beach. Sea clean but can be choppy. hardly ever crowded, but kite surfers can be annoying. Parking horrendously expensive.

what a place, if the sun shines you are in heaven, lovely lovely place. Great food not too bad value given location and very friendly staff that must love working here whats not to like. Always busy you should book in advance. Group of 6 and not a single piece of food or glass of the several different beverages we... More

Incridible, wild beach. You can walk 5 km along the sea, No car, no house, just the sea.Perect spot to colect razor shell.

Following winter storms Espiguette has changed. 600+ parking places have been lost at the naturist end. Cap Sud has been relocated and is not on the naturist beach so it is no longer possible for naturists to hire transats and parasols. The first part of the naturist beach is wider although it is now 250 metre walk from the car... More

We thoroughly enjoyed a slice of sheer Mediterranean sunshine! The beach was big, clean and the water was high quality- we both enjoyed a swim. Despite being the height of summer, we were more than able to find a place to spread out. Fab.

We went to this beach most days and enjoyed our visits there. The water wasn't very clear but that didn't deter most of the bathers who all seemed to go into the water at some stage. There were virtually no toilet facilities on the whole beach so make sure you come prepared!!

Used to be quiet, family, naturist beaches. Now it seems to be the usual commercial beach exploited by the local community, with all the 'services', boating, surfing, eating etc., and expensive parking facilities.

While staying in Aigues Mortes this April, my wife & I headed to Espiguete Beach for a pick-nic one warm sunny day. Located a short drive (15 minutes) away from town, Espiguette looks like it must attract huge crowds in the summer, but crowds are thin in April (even on the beautiful days), reaching only a trickle of visitors in... A great open beach that juts out into the Med and goes on for miles. The water is very safe for younger swimmers as it is very shallow. The only problem we found was getting there in high season, the traffic was horrendous and we had to park quite far from the beach as there was no space left. This... More
