This is the newer and statelier opera and arts and congress centre. Since it's on the Esplanade d'Europe, you can hardly avoid it. I'd say skip it, and go to the old Garnier-style opera house instead, at the top of the Place de la Comédie. It's smaller than the old Garnier opera in Paris, but equally charming.

from the outside this is a plain building which houses a very comfortable auditorium. The rooftop allows excellent views - and a helipad, in case you are in a hurry!

Unusually - lots of space to promenade and some excellent concerts. July sees the local Proms - Radio France Music Festival. Concerts listed on www.heraultwhatson.info

Had sushi picnic on the top of Le Corum and it was wonderful. The view is amazing. Go around sunset :)

This is a great place to watch the sunset from because you can climb to the top of the building. There are also some plants up there. It's a very nice place to relax.
