Definitely worth a visit if you're in Collioure and at €10 for a family of 5 it's worth every penny. Some of the views you get are stunning too!

Collioure is a wonderful place to explore out of season, it is a bit crowded in season. The history, art and culture here is not to be missed and restaurants to dine at overlooking the beach. Parking is difficult in season but sometimes easier to part up by the station and walk down to the town, not far. Sometimes best... More

This is an amazing medieval castle, very cheap to visit! Highly recommend it as they seemed to have special guides made for kids entertainment. Lovely sights from the tower.

Very well preserved castle with the corridors inside the walls, stunning views on the sea and the town. It gives a good understanding of fortification of past ages and it is just a fantastic illustration of the history for the kids.

To be honest as someone previously spoilt by the dramatic Cathar castles of the Aude it looks better lit at night from across the bay. If you've seen everything else in Colioure, are keen on ruined castles with a back story and a view and you've got a spare hour visit by all means.

We stayed in Platja d'Aro for a few nights and decided to drive to Collioure for the day. We had lunch at a restaurant on the beach and also toured the castle. The receptionists at the desk were friendly and the cost was a few euros per person for entry. We were given a map detailing the changes made to... More

A fabulous afternoon spent wondering around a major historic fortress. The site is perfectly renovated with safety of the visitors in mind.

Impressed with this place. Great to explore the rooms, catacombs beneath, outdoor theatre and the art displays. Wonderful views of bay and walked town at the base of the Pyrenees.

We visited this as were passing and had an hour to kill. Nicely planned tour taking you through the various parts if the castle. Views from the top are stunning. Lovely little art gallery buried inside one of the wings. Well worth an hour or two of your time.

Much more interesting than I thought it might be, and much more to see as well. Interesting military architecture and plenty of places/spaces to explore at your leisure as you go round getting a glimpse of most of the Chateau that gives a glimpse of its past and its design function. Very good art exhibition when we were there as... More
