A nice trail.

Walking up to the old fortress gives you a fantastic view of the city and is a great activity for all ages.

Lovely walk out of the own up the hill. Have a look at the windmill on the way up. Walk is a bit of a rocky track but only takes about 25 minutes. Fort is a nice & relaxed - with fantastic views. Guides available in English. Only downside is that you can't go up the big tower - rest... More

A nice walk up the hill added to the attraction (you may drive as well). We were given a self-guiding written instruction, which was educational and we really experienced the logic behind building the fortress and how to protect it. Very good. We learned alot. Only EUR 6.

Worth a visit for the views, weapons museum inside was reasonably interesting too. It's approx a 30 min climb from colours, with an interesting windmill to view on the way up too

Woke very early one morning (5.30am) and walked up to the fort from the town to see the sunrise. Walk was steep in parts and up uneven ground. We walked at a good pace and reached the fort in about 25 minutes. Lovely views from the top. Would recommend a trip up there, taking in the windmill along the way.

WE stayed three days in Collioure and saw this Fort almost everyday, a stunning view which we liked a lot.

We didn't have time to go inside, but wish we had! Still, its presence by the water is fascinating. We loved the historical ambiance which seems to frame the Plage.

Once we found the track, not well signposted, it is a decent slog uphill on a rocky track. 30 minutes from central Collioure to the top - but it does great you with great views once at the top. My wife and I didn't go in the fort, we are on a pretty tight budget on our backpacking trip, but... More

A short walk up from La Moulin (windmill) is this handsome castle. The walk is about 20 mins and quite a sweaty one in the summer! Overall a mild walk with some moderate bits. A small tourist road train takes visitors up as well. The castle itself is immaculately kept and offers stunning views over Collioure and beyond. There is... More
