We hired a boat from le Boat in port Cassafieres and spent 10 days going north to Castlenaudery. The scenery was beautiful, poppies, iris etc . Le Boat was good but my advice is to insist on adequate instructions before you start ,and do an inventory. We found that staff were excellent except at Port Cassafieres .Fab way to holiday with... Just returned from a week on the Canal du midi, cruising in a traditional narrow boat, hired from Minervois Cruisers, based at Le Somail. The boat was a dream, very comfortable, really clean, very well equipped but at the same time looked as though it was at home on the Canal, rather than dominating it, as some of the large... More

Rented the boat for one week with pick up in Trebes and drop off in Narbonne. There were 4 couples and we rented the Magnifique class from Le Boat. Perfect size as not too small and not too big. One doesn't want too big as there is some delicate navigation with locks and small bridges with minimal clearance and a... More

What a wonderful way to spend a week – floating along the picturesque canals of France with friends and sharing fresh bread, fabulous cheese and terrine with a few glasses of local wine. Six of us took a Locaboat 1400 designed for 8 but perfect for six as we used the bunks for storing suitcases and bags. We travelled from... More

The Canal Du Midi is just behind my apartment. I love to take long walks there with my two kids. Very refreshing. For anyone traveling to Beziers France it is a must see. It is an interesting part of the history of Biziers France. In summer you can cruise along the river, there are many organised guided tours to visit... More

Last September we went with two other couples on a lovely Nivernais Canal trip with Le Boat. We had the Vision3- a beautiful new boat with 3 staterooms and en suite bathrooms. The kitchen /dining area was as well equipped as my kitchen with a huge refrigerator and oven/stove by boat standards. We took the Chablis cruise from Migennes to... More

Our first experience in renting a boat from any company. We traveled from Argen France to Valence sur Baise. We traveled on the Garonne Canal and the River Baise. When we had trouble with the loo the company was there in 45 minutes....Pretty good considering we had traveled three days. Actually that is story of the experience. The slow meandering... More

This was one of the best vactions we have had. We rented a 2-cabin boat from "Le Boat" and went down the Canal du Midi for four days. Spend a little extra and rent bikes so you can get into the villages to buy supplies. (Great wine, cheese and bread!)

We enjoyed so much a wonderful week aboard the barge Beatrice from Portiragnes to Carcassonne. The canal and its locks were amazing ! The staff very friendly and the french and italian cuisine on the barge really excellent. We visited french villages of art as Capestang, Homps, the oppidum d'Enserune. The whole cruise was great. The barge Beatrice was a... More

Much the same as other's moments about the LeBoat company, we rented two boats in September for a week long trip from Homps to Castlenaudary. One boat was relatively new, but the other was very old, badly worn, and LeBoat surprisingly treated us poorly after they had our money and the trip was complete. Specifically, the only water tank on... More
