This was the second time I visited Vinecole. Initially I went with my partner in January 2011 and was fortunate enough to be able to return this Marh with my family. I could not recommend the whole experience enough. Matthew was as hospitable as ever and the tour was suitable for my younger sister, parents and grandparents alike with each... More

The Vinecole at Gayde came highly recommended by our host at nearby Domaine Le Puget. I had taken a group over for five days of health, fitness, wellness and some excursions and aimed to strike the right balance of activities. Matthew was most accomodating in fitting the tour into our schedule which was well received and enjoyed by all. We... More

My wife and I recently traveled to the Languedoc region with two other couples as a long overdue reunion. While there we had the opportunity to participate in a one day, three hour wine education class at the wine school ("le vinecole") near Limoux. The vinecole is on the grounds of the beautiful Domaine Gayda, a winery that produces top... More

My son and I attended the "Family Wine Tasting" as a fun activity for both of us both on our holiday in France. We toured the vineyards and winery before returning to the Vinecole to focus on tasting. While the adults were sampling wines from around the region the kids were blind-tasting fruit juices. Matthew was tremendously knowledgeable and yet... More

Having started to develop a passion for wine, I was delighted to find a wine school near where my father lives in the South of France in the Launguedoc-Rousillon near historic Carcasonne. The day started off with meeting our amiable and knowledgeable host, Matthew Stubbs MW, who preceded to take us on a tour of the vineyards and winery. Along... More

I spent 5 days doing the WSET course, and it was a very rewarding experience. We tasted 90 wines, taught by 2 masters of wine! It really helped understand the whole structure of wine tastings that can be a little difficult to learn by yourself. It was a very intensive course, with a lot of preparation as you don't really... I went to Vinecole as someone who had very little idea about wines. The environment, training and experience was first class. These people really are very good at what they do and present the whole learning and appreciation of wine in an environment that is both relaxing and extremely comfortable. More

As part of a bonding exercise for work, I completed the WSET level 2 course. Even though I drink very small amounts of wine I thoroughly enjoyed the course and fully recommend this to anyone who would like to taste and learn lots about different wines. No prior knowledge is required and Emma and Matthew are fantastic. Emma is also... More

I planned a last-minute trip to Carcassonne for my husband's 40th birthday. It was a scramble to find a wine tasting trip in the region, but Emma was incredibly accommodating, moving the tasting around to fit our needs and timing. Matthew picked us up and right away started to answer our many questions about the wine of the region. His... More
