This is a beautiful temple in the gardens beside the Petite Trianon. If you're the only ones around, it's one thing. If there are crowds of people, it's less romantic and beautiful. We arrived in Versailles for the night before the day we were to tour the Palace. I had read on here that the gardens are open for free... More

Located in the garden adjacent to the Petite Trianon, the Temple of Love is a classic Greek style structure. A winding path beside a small waterway leads to the domed round temple that sits on a small peninsula projecting into a pool. There are lovely views back toward the Petite Trianon from the Temple.

The Temple of Love is a small, but beautiful circular temple in the park of the Palace of Versailles. You can access it via a narrow footpath. There is no charge to enter it or view it once you have paid your admission fee the enter the gardens, which is a separate fee from the one you pay in order... More

We stumbled upon this treasure on a walk through the gardens. No one else was there so we could linger and admire the sculpture and views...and take goofy pictures. Fun find!

The Temple of Love is located off the beaten path between the Petit Trianon and the Hameau of Marie Antoinette. Not as many tourists were in this area. It is surrounded by a natural area that is not manicured like much of the park immediately behind the Chateau de Versailles.

You'll probably miss this Temple of Love during your first visit to Versailles, since it's way in the back country of the palace between the Trianons and Marie Antoinette's farm / Hameau. But whenever you find it you will fall in love with it. Classic Greek design in the French countryside of the palace. Beautiful and so far away from... More

This is located between the Trianons & Marie Antoinette's Estate. These are included in the "Passport" ticket. I would guess only 5% of the chateau visitors make it here, so it is much more peaceful and enjoyable. Tip: These areas open later (at noon) than the Chateau.

It took a little work to find my way to the temple from the Hamlet. I had seen it from the windows of the Petit Trianon and it would probably have been easier to locate on my way to the Hamlet. It is a very pretty spot and a good place to stop, relax, and enjoy nature. Another reviewer mentioned... More
