Beautiful, but not a must-see-at-all-costs

Impressive, but not a must-see. The Paris area does not have that many churches of the period, and the chathédrale was built but an archictect of the great Mansart family. But, if... read more

Walking around the Saint Louis quartier, you can reach this big church, worth a quick visit (big also inside, perhaps a bit "cold")

Impressive, but not a must-see. The Paris area does not have that many churches of the period, and the chathédrale was built but an archictect of the great Mansart family. But, if that makes it beautiful and impressive, it is not a 5* must-see landmark

Away from the crowds at the palace you can enjoy this historic cathedral. It was a hot day and a nice place to enjoy

Versailles is a sprawling town. L'avenue de Paris leads straight down to the main entrance of the castle, by far the most popular attraction, followed by the right bank of the avenue with its famous market place, Notre Dame Cathedral , L'Espace Richaud, 2 multisalle cinemas, a theatre and the antique district . The less touristic part of town is... More

Regular but nice Cathedral what I found during my stay in Versailles. Went inside just before closing in the Sunday afternoon. Nice place where to hide from hot weather.

If you are staying over, then yes. There is an open plaza with room for the kids to play and a bar/hotel with a high end vintage consignment store all within view of the kids playing in the plaza. So, I wouldn't make a special trip, but if you stay the night in Versailles, hang out here. See the cathedral,... More

I stopped in the cathedral during my visit to Versailles. While the church does have a certain beauty about it, it's much smaller than most cathedrals in France that I've seen. It was constructed in the 18th century at the behest of Louis XV. There are some paintings and stained glass windows that are interesting to see. It's really in... More

The old cathedral is small compared to some bigger ones like notre damn and not so crowded. The architecture is beautiful with detailed carvings and stainglass work
