We planned the whole trip just thinking to go to Versailles, because my mother in law (she lives in Brazil) is a fan of history and art. So we went there one Sunday (in May), but we did not expect such amount of people in a very long queue. Anyway we could cut the line, because three girls needed to... More

Versailles is everything you have ever read about and more.Massive in scale and grandeur.Lots to see for all ages and plenty of places to rest when you feet complain.Gardens are incredible even when it is pouring with rain.Staff are helpful, pleasant and polite but keep in mind that the Paris museum pass does not cover entrance fees - contrary to what... We spent the whole day here. A few hours inside the Chatue and the rest walking around the gardens and in the Trianons. It is an amazing show of wealth with endless rooms and gardens to explore. Something for everyone. However the fountains don't always seem to be on (and I think you have to pay more for a visit... More

This was my third visit to the Chateau and I love visiting the palace and grounds. The size of the Palace and Gardens are very vast. The Hall of Mirrors was recently refurbished and is beautiful. The outside of the Chateau is currently being refurbished with new gold leaf and when the sun is out the palace glitters. You can... More

Well worth the visit. You will be astounded by the luxury of the Chateau and by all the art work in each room. The grounds are huge, beyond any expectations and the other buildings like the Grand and small Trianon are also worth the visit. If you only care to visit the grounds and not the buildings then itsmall free.... More

The site is obviously excellent as reviewed but the managing organisation has much room for improvement. Found I was rushing through the palace just to get through the annoying tour groups. The ticketing process is confusing and multiple bag / security checks is rediculous. More

The history of versailles is something to see. The Paintings are magnificent and give an exellent insight of the history of the king and queens live. Be early since the waiting row is very long. More

Awesome gardens. Loved the walk. It was a musical fountain show day so we were charged 8.5 euro per person to enter the gardens, which was not worth it. The sound system was good but that's about it. Since we had a baby with us we wanted to hire the golf carts (30 euro per hour) but could not. Because... More
