Beautiful Gardens!

Some friends, my wife and I visited Versailles on one of the busiest days of the year. We waited a little over two hours in line to get inside, but it was definitely worth it. The building is so incredibly built and there is nothing like it. The Hall of Mirrors is beautiful and the entire Palace sets the tone... More

I have been to Versailles a few times but this was the first time seeing the fountains. They are only on a few days a month for a few months. I will say when planning a trip to Versailles make sure you are going on one of these days. It will be a bit more crowded but the fountains are... More

Disappointing. For the amount of money we paid to visit this place - it was poorly managed, 1000s for people, pushing, shoving, disrespect, herd mentality. And the Gardens weren't even maintained. No fountains were working. Algae and Moss was growing, the gardens were dry and dirty. Long lines for dirty bathroom facilities. Very poorly managed and maintained. Will NOT visit... More

The best there is. Despite the queues, despite the crowds, this place is simply fantastic. The scale and the grandeur are genuinely breathtaking - no hyperbole needed. The palace tour seemed to be the one that most people were doing, but don't miss the gardens - there's masses to explore, including two separate smaller palaces and at least a dozen... More

But not very interesting inside. Probably I don't know much about French history, but I expected a little bit more to visit. Gardens are huge, but due to the bad weather we didn't buy tickets. Be aware-tickets for RER from the booklet you buy in Paris don't work in Versailles. 80% of tourists had to buy additional tickets to come... More

How could you not like this paradise of beauty, Yes the lines were pretty bad I would not have wanted to wait to get in however, we were in a large group and so able to bypass that and only had to wait 20 min. Seems somehow that would be the way to go. My mouth was agape the whole... More

If you are in Paris take out 3-4 hrs to have a leisurely walk around this lovely chateau and the beautiful, elaborately designed and mantained gardens. Alovely slow walk around the different sections of garden, with many area illustrating images of different Gothic Gods and ancient figures in form of fountains and arenas will amaze your sense of admiration for... Unless your idea of fun is shuffling in a disorderly queue under the sun (or rain) for an hour or two, don't go. Or go on a Wednesday in February, outside of French school holidays. Do not believe their website which tells you to go at 9 to avoid the queue, it is just as horrendous at that hour. The... More

The Chateau is really beautiful, the staff were naturally rude to everyone, the wait is forever. Just came from Buckingham Palace, you need a ticket beforehand to get in and it is timed so that you aren't packed in like sardines and can actually experience the place. When we arrived, around 9am, the wait was over 2.5 hours long to... More

My boyfriend and I booked a day tour with France Tourisme and that let us take a bus from right near the Lourve, leaving at 11AM and getting back at 6PM.
