I really loved being here, i've been staring at pictures of the palace and the gardens throughout my school years, and the actual thing doesn't disappoint. The problem is, and i don't know if this happened because i went in august, but the waiting time was counted in hours not minutes, and that just to get inside, then inside it was... More

The place is amazing. I mean being there, feeling it... We have been to palatio corona in rome, smaller but even more luxurious, but this is different... More important are the gardens, where a calm stroll is even more pleasing than the chateau itself... Staff is generally friendly but some women are rude with tourists... But heck, their job dissatisfaction... More

I went with an American friend , it was by far the most beautiful and exciting place I ever visited , the queue was one of the longest I ever seen , but at the end of the day , it really worth it , I'd advice anyone going to Paris to go there very very early , because the... More

A really good place to visit. The palace is really big, and you can learn all the history involved. I love it. The garden is giant

Free entry for people under 24 (just show your passport)... what a wonderful French history... You need a full day to finish it all... cannot regret the visit and cannot go to Paris without visiting it ...

Was unimpressed. From the moment we drove up to the moment we left we were not thrilled. The parking lot full of cars and buses blocks the view of the palace as you approach. Once on the grounds it is grand on the outside but feels congested. The inside is blah and besides the historical significance was not very noteworthy.... More

Absolutely gorgeous! We booked a tour throught trip advisor in a group of 10 people and it was a great time, you learn so much! I would recommend hitting this in the morning because as the day goes on it gets way busier so try to get a morning tour, also be prepared to walk and stand, our tour took... More

Give yourself a whole day here, the gardens alone could take up all that time. Versailles is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in my life, sure the queue is quite long, but it moves fairly quickly. Audio guide is helpful but not needed if you don't really care for the history and just want to have... More

1. Get there early. You need the whole day. The line is often 2 hours long. But it's very much worth it. (Be prepared. If there's a hint of rain in the forecast, bring umbrellas and ponchos. You do NOT want to be stuck in a 2-hour-long line outside in the rain without any protection. The water will create rivers... More

As everyone else has mentioned, the queues are horrendous, even on a rainy Tuesday :) The inside of the palace was impressive, however, due to the amount of people jammed in every room shoving us along it wasn't easy to enjoy the experience and to get the feel for what it was like centuries ago. To be honest, we were... More
