We had Alex as a tour guide and he was brilliant! We were there on a hen do and there were 8 girls, it was the August bank holiday weekend in 2015 so the weather was unbelievable - 30 degrees every day! But honestly I think this would have been just as enjoyable in the rain, it was a fantastic... More

A very safe, smooth and nice way to visit Paris again and again in the ambient rush. Even if you think you know Paris, they'll show you places you missed or present you previously known ones under a new angle. Guides are well trained and know the various places very well and not only the standard tour ones but also... More

Paris was our second European honeymoon stop and we arranged a private afternoon bike tour for our first day to get oriented with the city. Our guide, Anna, was the BEST. I was rather nervous being in traffic but she put us at ease and made our adventure biking the streets of Paris super safe, very informative and absolutely unforgettable.... More

We were the only two on our Paris tour with Ally and it was sensational! She was so knowledgeable and showed us extra things so it was like a private tour. We had a ball and saw so much more of Paris than we we would have on foot. Highly recommended!

I was Anna's only guest today so she took me on a whirl through a bunch of fun neighborhoods as she gave me recommendations for her favorite restaurants, wine bars, museums (not all the most touristy ones) and offered fascinating historical tidbits about the Louis who built a monument to his recuperation from syphillis, Gustav Eiffel's shrewd gamble on the... We did both the Paris Tour, with Rachel and the Versailles tour with Brian and they were very knowledgeable and made history fun. It is an excellent way to get around and see the real Paris, they cover a lot of ground you could never do on foot and stop and explain points of interest as you travel. It is... More

I can't say enough about how much my friends and I loved this experience. Anna was a wonderful tour guide. It was great to REALLY see Paris and learn it's history along the way. We saw many things that we probably wouldn't have found on our own, plus got great "insider info" about where to go and what to do... More

Ally was our guide and she did a great job leading us on a fun ride through The City of Lights. The tour takes you around the main sights, but with a backdoor approach that you may not usually see. For example, we visited the former city wall in Le Marais and stopped to walk around a semi-private garden at... More

Fantastic tour of Paris. Went on tour with 2 jet lagged teenagers who loved it. Great leisurely pace with interesting Paris info without overload. I'd highly recommend and great thing to do early on trip to get global view of city

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
