This is the café from the film "The fabulous destiny of Amélie". Pretty much unchanged from the movie. Great atmosphere and good service. Food was good too, I'm not the biggest fan of crème brûlée, but I really enjoyed it.

Most people who come here are fans of the film. It is just a short walk uphill from Blanche metro station. I had coffee here before a walking tour of Montmartre started at 11am outside the station. It is very similar to the way it looks in the film, a lot more neon than expected. Make sure you take a... More

We had to try that because of the film. We didn't expect exciting food, on the contrary it was good and not expansive. Negative thing: there is not the tobacco corner... What a pity!

I visit here every time I visit Paris. And Last spring I walked by this place every day. This is something that means to me a lot. Place is quite similar that in the movie Amelie and the atmosphere is always crowded. But never mind, people are nice and young and maybe a little bit bohemian?

It is not special when you passing by, but as soon as you steped in, you will think of Amelie, and it is a must to order Amelie's creme brulee! For me I enjoyed the interior, of course not missing to take a photo of the big poster!

Service was really slow, when we asked for the check it came 10 minutes later. Their homemade ice tea was excellent. Classic french Caffè and must-go place in paris.

I visited for the first time almost by accident. One of my group members loves the movie Amelie and wanted to visit the restaurant but it wasn't a priority. On our way to see the outside of the Moulin Rouge (right around the corner) we walked by the restaurant and decided it would be fun to have dinner there. It... More

Nice place to have lunch, the cafe atmosphere is exactly as it is in the movie. It is better to have a table outside, you could live the ambience of Montmartre. The food is good but not amazing. The service is hit & miss.

A lovely welcome, with a good jazz singer and her band to entertain us. We had great service in a warm and buzzing atmosphere that drew us in. During the day we visited many places across Paris but was by far the best. The food looked good but we cannot comment as we did not try it. The drink prices... More

Wonderful cafe, street and great memories... Can't wait to be there again...All Amelie's fans need to be at least once in lifetime in De Deux Moulins.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
