The sales lady was very patient to explain and name each flavour of macarons. Other than the macarons, they provided me a lovely box with a pic of a cat.

For years, we have been coming to Paris and have 'dutifully' bought Ladourie to bring home. Now, after a visit to their workshop and shop, our tongues have been brought up to a whole new level of sensory pleasure. To say this is the best is not saying enough: this is stupendous 5 *****macaroons! You have to buy and consume... More

A place to get dessert. Beautifully made and delicious. So fresh and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. It might be a line outside but don't be intimidated, it is only because it is a small business. But totally worth it

Needless to say more - les macarons de chez Pierre Herme are really really special! Whether it's Rue Cambon or Rue Bonaparte... the macarons are amazing. At Rue Cambon, there is a particular amalgam between the Chanel legacy and the Pierre Herme macarons... the great French classics.

Must try the lychee, rose and raspberry, the intense chocolate, salted caramel and creme brûlée. Super expensive but worthy! Ladurée may invented these but Pierre Herme took them to another level.

I am the biggest Laduree fan you could ever meet. I am in one of their stores at least once a month and I rave about them to all my pals. However, this place......... WOW Literally holy WOW They have elevated macarons to a whole new level in my opinion. The patisserie chef is a Master of his craft and... More

Not what I expected when I went inside, but art in edible form is all I'll say!! Beautiful and tasty. We stopped here as a part of a Paris by Mouth tour and tasted 2 macarons. One was the taste of the month (I forgot what they called it) and one was a citrus/cream cheese flavor. Both were amazing, and... More

I wasn`t into macaron as much as other french pastries, but after trying the Ispahan macaron (rose, lychee and raspberry) I changed my mind a bit. Even though he is famous for the macarons one have plenty of other choices.

Pierre Hermé operates 10 shops in Paris, all selling the same wonderful confections, and where shoppers often encounter long queues. We visited the shop on rue Gambon, in the first block off of rue de Rivoli and quite near the Concorde Metro station at Tuileries, which is on the M1, M8, and M12 lines; i.e., it is really easy to... Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
