Just sumptuous!

Wonderful chocolate shop where one can taste before buying. Very helpful staff, but go early in the morning to avoid queues.

We made it a point to indulge in macarons each day from a different shop in Paris. Without a doubt, these are the most delicious, with the most creative flavors. Laduree is charming, but Pierre Herme is amazing.

These macarons don't disappoint and if they were cheaper the demand for them would be even more overwhelming. I went to the location at 185 rue de vaugirard; these was no line whatsoever and I seemed to be the only tourist for a good twenty customers.

What a treat to be in Paris again and to pop into one of Pierre Herme's beautiful shops for Macarons. They alone are worth the trip to Paris!

I previously tried macarons at Laduree, wasn't impressed. Today we tried them again at Pierre Herman. Wow! Fresh and full of flavor. Went early on a Sunday - no line!

Just fabulous. There are lines all day long but we managed to get in one day and bought the most delicious chocolate and macarons. The sales staff was lovely and we enjoyed the samples.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
