THATLou runs themed Treasure Hunts at the Louvre (what it stands for) for family travel & the general public. It gives you an overview of the world's greatest museum, getting you to corners you wouldn't otherwise go, making your visit FUN & focused. It's both educational + adrenalin-pumping, but you don't need to know a thing about art prior to the game! Also have THATRue (streets) + THATd'Or (Musee d'Orsay)

I cannot say enough positive things about our "ThatLou" experience in the Louvre with our six year old daughter. Absolutely everything about the "Beauty + Beast(iary)" hunt is brilliant and engaged our our daughter and us as well. What I particularly like about this experience is how it is ideal for families wanting to see the Louvre but at their... More

What a fabulous way to engage with such a potentially overwhelming space. We did our treasure hunt with our two kids aged 10 and 13 and split into teams. We went on a Friday so we could enjoy the late night access after our tour. The clues and information provided are outstanding and we also got the kids kit for... More

We got to the Louvre about a half hour before our scheduled meeting time but without enough time to stand in the two hour line to buy tickets. We were happy that ThatLOU could provide us with tickets at short notice. Our kids are 9 and 12. We did a friendly competition with another family and it really gave the... More

We thought this would be great but we're left with a sour taste after we were charged 22 euros for 15 euro entry tickets. Hardly a big deal but not a good way to conduct a business. Daisy stopped answering emails after we discovered this. After 30 minutes of doing the hunt we all decided it's not an ideal way... More

Martin, Thank you so much for your review, for 3 reasons it's most fascinating: - 1) considering the fact that I told you both in writing (as I do all of our clients) as well as on the phone that you can easily get your entry tickets directly from the Paris Tourist Board for the same price that the Louvre... Although we've visited the Louvre, with children, on several occasions in the past, THATLou represented a whole new level of fun - and learning! This is an excellently organised, themed 'scavenger hunt', ideal for an energetic, challenging, few hours of family engagement. For our 11-year old son, the friendly competition (arranged by THATLou) with another, English-speaking family with a son... More

We did two hunts: at the Louvre and at D'Orsay. We chose the private hunts, i.e. only our family, which consisted of 3 adults and two kids (7 and 4 yo). Everybody enjoyed both hunts, and not only the kids who absolutely loved the whole idea and the process. The idea is to find as many items (paintings, sculptures) as... More

We booked both THATd'Or and THATLou during our stay last week. We were on our own at d'Orsay and had "family friendly" competition at the Louvre. We have 3 kids ages 4, 7, 10. We are from NYC and my kids are used to museums and like seeing exhibits, but we've never tackled anything as large as the Louvre. Daisy... More

Thank you to Daisy and Daniele for organising an awesome Louvre scavenger hunt for our family. You are given a map and you set off to find approx 30 works of art (we chose beauty and bestiary) – some well known works like Mona Lisa but many that I did not know well. The bonus questions often involve interesting facts... More

Absolutely fabulous idea. For what would otherwise be an incredibly overwhelming gallery due to its size this was great fun, and took us to loads of different areas inside the Louvre - got the chance to see loads that wasn't on the hunt also. Lasted around 2 hours and my friend and I competed with another couple. Sadly we lost... More

I came across ThatLou while searching for great things for kids in Paris, and while initially hesitant to spend the extra money, I am SO glad we did! Daisy is warm and kind, great with kids and made a very big art museum approachable for our 8 and 11 year old boys. With her well designed treasure hunt in hand,... More
