My favourite hotel in Paris is near the Forum des Halles, and so I've spent a lot of time there over the years. On my most recent visit, in early June 2015, I was interested to see that the entire area around the Forum des Halles has been ripped up and is being redone, so that the beautiful garden is... More

If you are looking for a mall in Paris, this is it. Not as pricy as the Hausmann area. Quite a few stores, but the layout is odd. You don't see an underground shopping centre every day.

Thank you for you comment on our shopping center. Please know that even though the site is still open and accessible, it is currently under renovation. We are working on modernizing the building and upgrading our retail offer. However, we already have a great number of not so expensive shops including high street flagships such as H&M, New Look, Forever... More

If you like cavernous malls full of international brand stores, this is the place for you. I actually dislike malls with a passion and found this one to be even worse than most simply because it was rather dim and echoey being all underground. And, it was hard to tell, but I think it is under construction which may have... More

Hello, Thank you for sharing your opinion. The Forum des Halles is indeed under renovation as we are working on building a more welcoming shopping center. Our stores offering will also be diversified as more and more flagships are opening in our renovated areas. We definitely hope to see you back at the Forum des Halles when the works are... More

The Forum des Halles is an underground shopping mall in Les Halles whch is located in the 1e arrondissement in Paris. It caters more to high street fashion brands and not so much the haute couture. A huge cavernous space, it has very very many stores all under one roof. The Chatelet-Les Halles metro & RER station are here making... More

Walking through the streets of Paris you'll definitely find shops in which you can buy clothes etc... but unfortunately the majority are a bit pricey. So if you're in Paris for 3-4 nights and would like to dedicate a day for shopping, Forum Des Halle is the best location to do so. It contains international shops like: H&M, Zara, Oysho,... More

The mall is being currently reconstructed, the shops are being open, but does not give currently a pleasant shopping experience. Just for emergency shopping

Some day in the future, this could be an underground museum, the star focus of being the labyrinthine passages. It is just so confusing, with so many "Sortie" and Metro lines. The passages are somewhat narrow and old too, so they get creepy when deserted, and really unpleasant if crowded. And I'm not even factoring in the construction work ongoing.... More

The mall has some nice shops, but it is very easy to get lost in and no signage. We could not find our way out! Some interesting artwork. Stop by if you are in the area, but don't make the extra trip.

This shopping centre is undergoing a massive redevelopment and is currently one great big building site. Would of been easier to close the whole place down, completed the task in half the time and just leave access to the metro and RER station below. A lot of the signs were misguiding, leading to dead ends where sections of the shopping... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
