I joined Ricki's July 14 (Bastille Day) Seine river cruise on July 14th, which happens to be my birthday. It was a fabulous trip. She had great fellow travelers along from all over America and Dubai, a helpful staff and tasty treats. It was a delight, as always, to share her enthusiasm for the impact of African Americans on France's... More

Let me first say that I debated on whether or not to write a review of this tour because I feel that my situation may be unique. I am only writing this to let others know of my experience on the tour. My tour date was August 8, 2014. After booking our tour I was concerned that the orientation portion... More

Ricki Stevenson and Phillippe Baudry gave a group of us a private tour of Le Vesinet, the home of the late Josephine Baker. When you walked through the gates you felt her presence. The grounds held her vibrant love of people. You seen beauty through her eyes. The grounds and home may be in need of repair that Phillippe is... More

I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. It was very informative and Ricki and Brian were most entertaining in their presentation of history. Her daughter, Dee-Dee, was visiting and very instrumental in speaking with the 'new' bus driver and bringing a sense of order to Ricki and Brian's theatrical personas. I was able to visit areas of Paris I would not have... More

Unfortunately our tour was not what we expected. We did learn some things about Paris and about the history of those who were not accepted as equals in America and how they found acceptance in France. My spouse speaks fluent French and I realize this is not so for most people who sign up for this excursion. As such, we... More

Ricki and Brian are amazing! They put more knowledge and experience in one day than I ever imagined. The bus tour includes a visit to Jo Baker's former resistance, a special feature that Ricki made possible ONLY for the Black Paris Tour. Lunch at a wonderful Parisian restaurant was included in the price. Ricki and Brian answered all of our... More

First Time to Paris. The Black Paris Tour was awesome. Very educational, fun and enlightening. Little Africa was the greatest. (Loved the food)! Thanks Riki Tashi and Donald Buggs.

We've travel to Paris before, but Ricki Stevenson's tours gave us a completely new experience of the city. It was exciting to see the contributions made by African Americans and Africans to the history and culture of Paris. Whether this is your first trip to Paris or you've been there before, taking Ricki's tour is a "must do" on your... More

After hearing an interview with Ricki Stevenson on NPR's "Marketplace" several years back and then reading "The Hemingses of Monticello: An American Family", I'd always wanted to take her "Black Paris Tour." So glad we did! Ricki provided incredible insights into the long history of African-American experiences with Paris. Through Ricki, we stepped where many African-American intellectuals, athletes, performers, writers... More
