I toured on Dec. 30 with a small group and our guide, Jerry Thompson. It was wonderful and I learned a lot, even though I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable about African diaspora world history. Always more to learn and this tour helps with that. I am looking forward to taking their Marseilles tour next time. Little Africa and the amazing... More

We opted for the all day tour discovering how various black people contributed to the making of Paris. Each stop brought forth even more unknown facts about American blacks who also made Paris their home and playground. The trip through little Africa was fascinating with its vibrant crowd and shops overflowing with all sorts of goods. I would recommend it... More

The Black Paris Tour was wonderful! Our guide, Gerard, was a very informed and gracious young man. There were eight of us that day, and as a solo traveler I was glad to be part of a small group. The tour starts at a restaurant on the Champs-Elysees for debriefing, introductions and a "black Paris 101" lesson. This is a... More

Black Paris Tours offers a narrative of not only the History of Blacks who came to Paris to fulfill their dreams, and also Paris as a whole. I recommend doing this tour upon your arrival. You walk the parks where Richard Wright walked. Learn about Bessie Coleman and the Dumas family. Not only this you learn the etiquette and the... More

Thank you SevenK7 for your appreciation of our Black Paris Tours orientation when we take time to talk about the many cultural "cues" we think our travelers should be aware of. We love it when our guests go "Ohhhhh.....I wondered why they (the French) did that." It can be something as simple as entering a restaurant/cafe and having to wait... More

This was an excellent tour. Learn about all the Black greats from Hannibal to Dumas to Josephine to Harlem 369! Madame Stevenson is absolutely amazing. She knows so much. Tour the city, hear great stories and settle down for dinner at the best West African restaurant!!! A must do.

I added an extra day to a work trip and took the full day tour on Friday, 25 September 2015, and I'm so glad I did! It happened to be a small group -- just me and two ladies from a different state -- and Ricki was our guide because another guide called in sick. It was fantastic. Ricki asked... More
