The tour is informative. However, please understand this is a walking and bus tour. In other words, you will walk and utilize public transportation. Also, you are responsible for the cost of your lunch and breakfast. Please do not be misconceived these costs are included, in the tour. However, the "lunch is not included" cost is noted, on the website.... More

Very informative! Recommend you do this on your first day so you can see what you may what to revisit. A lot of walking. You are good and hungry by the the time you eat at 330 :-)! But the food was worth the wait.

Our guide, Nawo Crawford, was extremely knowledgeable and kind. The information provided in the tour really illuminated the extensive interplay between Paris and Africa-descended peoples since the founding of France. What I found most interesting was learning about the contrarian ways the French have treated Africans throughout history, from taking away the citizenship of people of color in the early... More

What an insightful tour and experience! Bravo to you and your apprentice Jerry (who did excellent for the 2 months of working with you) for shedding light on something I wouldn't have known! We are filled with joy that Paris has such a vast black history, and we are ready to explore the depth of information that is now in... More

My husband and I celebrated our 38th anniversary in Paris. This was the perfect experience for my husband and he enjoyed it tremendously. It is 6 months later and he is still sharing what he learned. I am so glad that your company celebrates black history and shares not only the negative but the positive. Thank you so much for... More

Had initial some reservations about taking the Black Paris Tour due to some previous experiences of both people I know in corresponding with Ricki prior to getting to take the tour (ultimately they didn't) as well as some of the reviews here. My intuition kept telling me that it was the best way for me to experience Black Paris and... More

I vacillate between rating very good and average. The experience was definitely not very good, due to the particulars below. However, it was above average. So somewhere in between would be a more accurate rating. Very Good was selected, instead of average, as a result of my supporting on the more positive side. The good was: 1. flexibility of the... Dear Anoa N, Thanks for taking time to write about your Black Paris Tour experience. The good rating you give us for our flexibility and willingness to accommodate your change of date seems to be key to several things you did not like. I would have been your tour guide, but when you changed your date, the task went to... More

The BPT was on my bucket list to do on my 2nd visit to Paris. I signed up alone but there were others on the tour. Our well-informed, very interesting and patient guide, Nawo Crawford was a delight! She made African and African American history come alive for me in Paris! I learned much, was enlightened and shocked all in... More
