"Inspiring!" As we toured the city of Paris, I was able to envision the commitment toward excellence of a prideful people who became exceptionally skilled in their crafts. While Ricki Stevenson's walking tour is fast moving, it is sooooo educational and pleasant.I truly enjoyed listening to her knowledge of the people and their gifts and appreciated her and her daughter's support... On October 17, 2014, I and a group of people from all over the US toured Paris with Ricki Stevenson as our guide on her "Black Paris Tour" that took us all over this beautiful city. Not only did we experience places where Africans and African Americans thrived and lived, we were treated to the history of the early tolerance... More

BPTs really connected the dots of our knowing the names of great African-Americans who found refuge in Paris before our sojourne, with also revealing THEIR IMPORTANCE to Paris from aiding with the French Resistance, The French Air Corps, and the introduction of Jazz to name a few. To know of the Global acceptance of African-Americans while being denied basic human... More

This was one of the very best tours I have ever been on! It was like "One Day University on the Black Parisan Experience". Like a history professor taking her class on a field trip. I plan on staying in touch and returning to get more of the "Ricki" experience. This time I will read all the good stuff she... More

I took the tour this fall, although it was a bit chilly and wet during my stay, the day of the tour was a nice fall day. Ricki, though she had to reschedule my tour date, she invited me to a lovely jazz, piano bar "Cafe Raye" which I enjoyed. The tour was suburb, learned a lot from Rickis' great... More

I cannot thank Madamoise Ricki for an outstanding learning experience on Black life and culture in Paris. I appreciated the time set aside before the tour for orientation while enjoying breakfast with the group and having the opportunity to get a little bit acquainted with one another. I highly recommend this tour. If I had been on my own, I... More

We took the tour this summer with a group from our company. We loved every minute of it. I reviewed some of the other comments. Yes, there is a lecture but I think that it sets the scene for the actual physical tour. I learned so much from the lecture and the physical tour around the city. I had no... More

I accompanied two friends on Ricki's tour July 26, 2014. This was primarily a bus tour. We did make several stops, the most interesting of which was Josephine Baker's home in a suburb just outside Paris. If you have several days or a week scheduled in Paris, I'd highly recommend one of her tours. Finding the right balance between time... More

I joined Ricki's July 14 (Bastille Day) Seine river cruise on July 14th, which happens to be my birthday. It was a fabulous trip. She had great fellow travelers along from all over America and Dubai, a helpful staff and tasty treats.
