I had so looked forward to this tour based on a few reviews I'd read. Big mistake not reading ALL the reviews as the issues we experienced were mentioned in other reviews. The tour has tremendous potential, but overall I'd rate this attraction as average at best, reason being: 1) We started off wrong with Ricki being 30+ minutes late.... More

Dear Black Paris Tour Traveler, Thank you for taking time to write about your impressions of our tour and for offering me an opportunity to correct some of those impressions. 1. Due to a parade along the Champs Elysees AND traffic jams related to a strike by French air traffic controllers I was 30 minutes late. As you pointed out... More

I came to Paris with my husband and daughter. They were here for business, but I came to see Paris. I had heard about a Black Paris Tour but had forgotten about it when we booked our trip. I happened to be on Facebook in my hotel room when I saw the same post I had seen over a year... More

Keeping OURSTORY alive is OUR responsibility. This tour was great. Thank you to our guides for all the research it took to provide such a thorough walk through history. To see the impact that Paris has had on so many of our Black heroes was very inspiring and has renewed my interest in learning more about the African diaspora.

You don't have to be a part of the African Diaspora to enjoy and learn a lot from Ricki Stevenson's Black Paris Tours. Ricki's enthusiasm for her adopted city is infectious and you will leave the "City of Light" with a new enlightenment about some of the black people who have played a significant role in the City's history. The highlight of my visit to Paris was the Black Paris Tour with Ricki Stevenson as our guide. Her passion when speaking about African Americans whose presence was reveled in France was infectious. I so enjoyed the education about General Alexandre Dumas,Richard Wright and the trip to Josephine Bakers first mansion where we allowed to walk the grounds was absolutely... More

I was fortunate to recently visit Paris, with three other females, for a fifth time. This was my first time taking the Black Paris Tour and I am very glad I did. Ricki Stevenson brings the history of Paris alive from the black perspective. She is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and her effervescent delivery is contagious. She imparts history... More

The best part of my trip to Paris was this tour! Plus, being a solo female traveler was already intimidating so I am glad I found a tour that catered to my interest.
