If you are a history buff, you will love this tour. If you want to see sites and experience the venues referred to in the overview then this is not the tour for you. Hours and hours of walking, bus catching, and not seeing much of anything. The history lesson is great but could be condensed to a few hours.... More

I planned my first-ever trip to Paris primarily to indulge my passion for tennis with some third-round, center-court matches at the 2015 French Open. The unexpected pleasure of witnessing a thrilling comeback-victory by Serena Williams is impossible to top, but Ricki Stevenson's Black Paris Tour two days earlier is a close second on my list of unforgettable, treasured memories from... I had so looked forward to this tour based on a few reviews I'd read. Big mistake not reading ALL the reviews as the issues we experienced were mentioned in other reviews. The tour has tremendous potential, but overall I'd rate this attraction as average at best, reason being: 1) We started off wrong with Ricki being 30+ minutes late.... More

Dear Black Paris Tour Traveler, Thank you for taking time to write about your impressions of our tour and for offering me an opportunity to correct some of those impressions. 1. Due to a parade along the Champs Elysees AND traffic jams related to a strike by French air traffic controllers I was 30 minutes late. As you pointed out... More

Keeping OURSTORY alive is OUR responsibility. This tour was great. Thank you to our guides for all the research it took to provide such a thorough walk through history. To see the impact that Paris has had on so many of our Black heroes was very inspiring and has renewed my interest in learning more about the African diaspora.

You don't have to be a part of the African Diaspora to enjoy and learn a lot from Ricki Stevenson's Black Paris Tours. Ricki's enthusiasm for her adopted city is infectious and you will leave the "City of Light" with a new enlightenment about some of the black people who have played a significant role in the City's history.
