Of course we had to visit the original Chanel in Paris. we even were lucky enough to see the beautiful stairway of mirrors. Did a little shopping too since the exchange rate is much better!

Visited yesterday. I found the staff very attentive and courteous. They listened to my request and need to match my purchase to other items and the assistant was excellent. As I left I asked if I could see the famous staircase - of course was the reply. I arrived late in the day about 30 minutes before closing. As I... More

This is a large Chanel boutique and the original one. Make sure you ask to see the famous staircase. My daughters bought earrings and rings here. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We made the mistake of leaving our passport at the hotel and they wouldn't give us the VAT refund documents without it. This was frustrating since every... More

I felt extremely disappointed in shopping rue cambon, I was served by an untrained staff who told me I was better off buying my bag in London !!!!! As they didn't have the bag I was looking for ,Where the whole experience is to buy in Paris . The following day , we headed to the Chanel shop in 51... More

We decided to go to the ORIGINAL Chanel, where Coco Chanel actually lived, herself. Had NO intentions of shopping, just wanted to go check it out. The sales people are VERY nice. He showed us the staircase to Coco Chanel's apartment upstairs. Showed us around the entire boutique, all the different items. We ended up making some great purchases, although... More

The Chanel flagship store. So sacred. And so busy. What a dream to actually be in there. I was waiting for someone to assist me but I didn't know that there was a queue. My bad. They were extremely busy. I didn't look like you were in a luxury store. It looked like you're in a market. I am not... More

Wonderful place to see ground zero for Chanel. The whole site is testament to the massive amounts of history around while Coco Chanel was doing her work

Thought this would be fun to visit (not really expecting to buy anything) and the store did not disappoint. If you are familiar at all with the brand you know this is the location of her original store and apartment. You can actually see the staircase leading up to her apartment and if you are lucky (like we were) the... More

Yes , there is a long wait to be served , even more so that the Euro is weak against other currencies but this is the original . The smell is leather and fashion and it's divine !

Though you may have to wait a little bit to be helped, it is well worth the wait. Not only might you see some of the rich and famous here like we did, but if you are an American, you will enjoy learning how far your dollar can go at this point in time.
