I visited the branch near the sacre Coeur; the chocolate art was a sight to behold. The selection of macarons, chocolates and cookies were vast, and tasty, but not quite at the high standards of specialty chocolatiers. Still worth a try though

Located in the heart of Deauville (50 rue Gambetta), this beautiful, classy store is not your average chocolate store. What will it be? a red shoe? a heart, or a ladybug? How about some wafer thin crispy "torchettes" cookies. You select what you want in the self serve section or buy an assortment ready to go. Dorothee "knows her stuff"... More

I tried a selection of chocolates. I placed them in a plastic bag and they're weighed. Mine included gorgeous little eggs of various colors that were pure chocolate, a powder dusted ball with hazelnuts and a stack that looked like coconut but was dark orange peel i think. Absolutely delicious and yes, pricy, but eat it slowly. You don't need... More

Though a little pricey, Maison Geroges Larnicol had an excellent selection of Macaroons made fresh, aswell as candies and chocolates. You could pick your own macaroons one by one or buy a pre made box of 7 - 21. Friendly staff and delicious macaroons!

We were in Paris on from Holy Thursday through the following week. On Holy Saturday, we decided to pop in here and pick up some treats for a pseudo Easter basket for us. We bought a few macarroons (which did not last more than a few steps outside the store - they were DELICIOUS), and some house made chocolate. The... More

My husband and I were lured in by the colorful macarons (my favorite) and the incredible chocolate sculptures. So delicious! To buy the macarons separately rather than the pre sorted boxes will save you some money. We bought a few of the Paris tin boxes and filled them with 21 macarons each and the total cost for box plus macarons... More

The stars were aligned when I accidentally saw Maaison Larnicol walking in Paris towards Gare de Lyon, I had been in a work meeting all day and had a sandwich for lunch and all I wanted was something sweet. Excellent. I gravitated towards the place and had a walk around, salivated over the caramels, chocolates, and other sweets but then... More

If you want to see some fantastic art with chocolate, taste exquisite kouignettes nature & caramels- go here! It's a quick walk from the St. Paul (I think?) stop on the Metro. It's the same line as Hotel De Ville. It is quite amazing to see what they are able to construct from chocolate. The kouighnettes are thick, heavy, syupy... More

We found this shop by accident as we returned from Sacre Couer and decided to take a look. The displays were very nice, especially the model of Notre Dame made entirely of chocolate ! In the end we purchased a few macaroons and some other items which were very nice !

This is the most stunning chocolate shop I've ever seen! The chocolate and variations taste are incredible as is the presentation. This is a definite must-see. The service is just as any French shop. Just make sure you say the magic words "Bon Jour Madame." Must see this one.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
