One of my favorite places for chocolate in Paris. There's a huge variety of other candy besides chocolate like caramel, macarons, cookies and mush more!

Greeted by a cool chocolate aroma, Maison Georges Larnicol offers plentiful for chocolate enthusiasts and macaron-lovers alike. Among lavish displays of chocolate sculptures, lollies and cornets, the central macaron counter is hard to miss. My favourite chocolates were the dark puddles with crystallised ginger and dark chocolate seashells. I absolutely loved the macarons - bought a box of 16 and... More

Everything looks amazing. The chocolate sculptures are quite remarkable. But the macaron are just ok. The consistency of the filling is a bit runny. I'd probably give it two stars but the sculptures are def worth a look!

We visited the store as it was near St Michel's fountain and we were walking along the streets. The store is very well kept and the employees were very helpful too. We asked for a box and they arranged for a metal one for us to take the macaroons back to the US. Ultimately we liked the macaroons from here... More

We visited here a couple times while we were in Paris. Their macaroons and chocolates are so delicious. I don't imagine that this is a small scale business with the utmost care taken in producing the finest items, but we certainly enjoyed the decadent treats we bought there. We also bought a cookie and a caramel which I thought were... More

Ok where to start...the cocolate mini eggs are the best things I have ever eaten. Dont get me started on the cookies! All the colors and the flavors are unreal. People beged us to bring some back and we made it with three of the four containers not crushed. Take your time taste and come back here again and again!

We found this store while on a Left Bank walk. It has a good selection of chocolates which you help yourself by putting them in a plastic bag to be weighed. It's 50 euros/kg. They also have a selection of macarons- maybe 2 dozen different flavors. Single flavors. They tasted good but, personally, I thought the macarons from McDonald's cafes... More

I thought I might try the Laduree macarons but when I got there, I was shocked at the exorbitant prices, so I walked away. But I chanced upon the beautiful, enticing pastries at Maison Georges Larnicol (at their little shop in Rue de la Harpe) and that's where I bought my macarons. I think it was about 6EUR for 8,... Everything there is delcious. I bought only one jar of creamy caramel and it's something I regret until today.. The place is great, the staff, not. Don't expect people to answer you in english or any other language. Try visiting the store early in the morning (before lunch time), or it is going to be really crowded. a good tip... More

We first encountered Larnicol in Brittany and were knocked for a loop! Then found it at one Paris location and decided to seek it out wherever in France. We tried to find it in the St. Germaine arr. with no luck but on return stay in Marais found it around the corner. Wonderland! The kouginettes are unlike anything else -lots... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
