We received personalized and excellent service at this small boutique parfumerie. My 11 year old wanted a perfume from Paris and we had great experience. Serious advise - the kind my daughter no doubt expected, but I just hoped we could find. They helped her select a light fragrance perfect for her age, yet authentic. The staff was super helpful.... I asked for samples of three personal fragrances to help me decide which to purchase. I was told to travel 35 miles and ask at a department store. I have limited mobility and am unable to travel the distance to the retailer. Although I have been a customer in the past, I will no longer patronize this seller because of... More

Diptyque makes the loveliest candles. A great diversity of fragrances, there is definitely a perfume for everyone in the Diptyque range. The boutique is brilliant, along Boulevard St Germain. Great place to get gifts as well.

This was one of those places that I just absolutely wanted to go to. So, with my wifi hotspot in hand, earbuds yelling directions in my ear, I made my way to Diptyque! The guy there was more than happy to help me, and spoke with me for probably at least 30 minutes while I made my selections. I walked... More

The ladies at Diptyque were so friendly, encourged me to take my time, and were available for all questions. It was an overall great shopping experience. I ended up getting a gift and a few things for myself, and they even threw in a few lotion and parfume samples.

In September of 2011--almost three years ago, I made my first trip to Paris. Eager to experience a Parisian 'parfumerie,' I went to Diptyque, and my nose has never been the same. After chatting with the sales clerk about the ingredients used and the different associations of the scents, I bought an array of their products (candles, eau de cologne,... More

DO NOT USE THIS APP TO GUIDE YOU TO DIPTYQUE! It takes you to an area that, while seriously gorgeous and worth a visit, is several blocks up from the original store. 34 Boulevard St. Germaine - it's easy to find! And well worth a visit to any perfume lover. Gorgeous store, helpful and friendly staff (even to a girl... More

The store is at 34 Blvd St Germain; do not use this app to guide you to the shop, it takes you about 15 blocks away from the shop!

We had just flew into Paris feeling excited and very tried. I had been really looking forward to getting some perfume that would remind me of our romantic holiday. I couldn't wait we went straight to Diptyque after checking in. We don't speak French but this was not a problem. We were greeted warmly and welcomed into the shop. We... More

We had our honeymoon in Paris and I was determined to visit the shop to get a special gift. It was wonderful, everything that I had read about the shop was true. Couldn't decide which candle to buy as they were all lovely but went for the 'rose' in the end. If you like smellies and products or looking for... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
