We truly enjoyed our experience shopping for food here at La Grande Epicerie. The building is going through a renovation right now, so there are areas that are enclosed making it more compact and crowded.

The Grand Epicerie has been a long time food attraction, attached to the Bon Marche. It carries high quality french products and a variety of international foods (Italy, Asian, America, UK). I happen to love the variety of mostly Rench salts, vinegars and mustards that spice up an otherwise ordinary meal. This is a great place to find a vast... More

The grocery shop is fabulous. You could not fault it. It offers the best of the world's brands and fantastic bread, fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and fish. But here is why they didn't get five stars from me. Firstly, the cafe looks like an instore cafe of an M&S and if I were really honest probably more like the coffeshop... More

Special in the best way, you feel like a child in a candy store. So many finds, high quality and not that expensive considering this. The bakery department has in my opinion the best "pain aux raisins", as for BON MARCHE in general very nice staff all over the place. Just refurbished with a big light well, exclusive wine department... More

Our rented apartment in St.Germaine was down the street from Bon Marche. My previous impression of the Epicerie was that, sure, it is really neat to peruse items but that they are quite expensive (though could make some good gifts to being home to friends) . My real opinion changed though, once I realized that they have amazing, reasonably priced... More

A lovely grand scale food shopping experience in Paris. Lots of fun to look even if you aren't planning to buy food. Great place to get presents for those at home all at once. Expensive but a real cathedral of food shopping.

Although Some parts of the grocery were under renovation during our visit, we had enjoyed our time there witnessing different cultural food and drinks. It has an admirable wine section and do not miss original French cheese section! Do not attemt to take pictures inside, the whole area is screened with cameras and they may charge you penalty for a... More

This is an upscale market where you can find ingredients that you perhaps can't find at home. BUT it is expensive, and actually it makes more sense to simply go to a real supermarket in Paris. It is a fun place to look around.

After reading all the reviews and seeing that this was the #3 shopping experience in Paris, we made it a point to stop by on our vacation. Boy, were we disappointed. It's a grocery store. That's it. We have Wegmans in our area and this store doesn't even come close to comparison. There was construction on the second level and things... More
