This experience, which was recommended to us by my daughter who did a course with Charlotte 12 months earlier, was definitely the highlight of our time in this wonderful city. Our day began with coffee in a little cafe, followed by an extremely informative and enjoyable stroll through the market to shop for our lunch menu. Then back to Charlotte's... More

I loved the cooking class with Charlotte. A very French menu with loads of tricks and shortcuts revealed. I just made the Magret de canard at home and it was perfect. Now on to try the chocolate gateaux. Fun experience going to the marché first with Richard ingredient shopping.

The cooking class we took with Diane http://girlcookinparis.blogspot.com/ was fantastic. This was a surprise gift for my husband and he loved it. Diane and I hand selected the menu together and when the three of us met at the outdoor market in Bastille, we picked up all our ingredients. We then went back to her fantastic apartment (next to the... More

Of all the wonderful things we did in Paris, Charlotte's cooking class was definitely at the top of my list. Starting the rainy, cool morning with Richard strolling throught the incredible Rennes outdoor market was too perfect. Then shopping on the Rue Cler and ending up in Charlotte's beautiful, warm kitchen just off the Rue Cler with a lovely cup... More

If you want a glimpse of American expat life in Paris, this is the class for you. My husband and I booked with Richard and Charlotte before leaving the US. Richard was attentive to our dietary needs and culinary interests. I mentioned I loved Moroccan food and we were rewarded with a chicken tagine demonstration. It was a Friday morning,... More

We highly recommend this dynamic duo and this market class to anyone who enjoys: - great food - knowledgeable and engaging hosts/ chefs - the eclecticness of market shopping and taking in Belle Époque architecture along the tour. especially loved our stop in Poliane bakery (simply divine pain au chocolat that has ruined us for life) - a class that... Richard Nahem offers a cooking class experience with his colleague Charlotte, who is a cordon bleu chef. We met him in the morning to shop for some ingredients at a market, and then travelled to Charlotte's lovely home to have her cook three dishes. She explained the steps very clearly, talked about availability of ingredients and variations on the recipes,... More

My adult daughter and I booked this cooking class with Eye Prefer Paris, hoping to get a new view of French cooking. We both cook and study cooking techniques and routinely take cooking classes at home. We.met Richard at the appointed hour on a colorful corner near a French street market. Richard is charming and chatty. Just exactly what was... More

This is the 3rd cooking class I've taken in Paris over a span of several years. Since Charlotte is an American, she knows the challenges Americans face with re-creating French food here and addressed some of the differences in ingredients like butter, eggs, chicken, and cream. She prepared a 3 course (plus cheese) lunch and every single course I can... More

This Eye Prefer Paris Market tour with Richard was both delicious to the eye as it was to our taste buds and appetites. Picking up fresh ingredients and cheeses at a local market near Eiffel Tower and walking over to Charlotte's kitchen was one of our memorable experiences while in Paris. Charlotte's discussion of French ingredients like "rouge label" poultry... More
