It was New Year's Eve this year, and my boyfriend and I had planned to go on this cruise. It was meant to be very romantic as I wanted to propose to him that same night. We had bought the cruise tickets through an agency, Ceetiz, and the cruise was supposed to go out from Pont Saint Michel. However, when... More

Although this cruise was a bit pricey for us South Africans, it was sooo worth it. With beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame and others, it was fantastic. Even though it was cold outside, it was wonderful inside. We had foie gras, wine, salmon (which was delicious, the chicken wasn't great) and an amazing dessert. All round, a... More

My husband and I went for this dinner cruise on Christmas Eve. As there were quite a few feedback that it is hard to find the exact location of the boarding, we used the gps provided which was much easier than using the map. There was quite a large crowd waiting by the time the boat arrived and everyone crowded... More

Although this was a relaxing way to spend the evening, we also found a lot of issues with this cruise. Firstly, we were given a very simple map to find the boarding of the boat, however this wasn't very clear when we arrived. We were told our cost was due to depart at 6.00pm and we should arrive 15-30 minutes... More

This was obviously cheaper than the other cruises, but I think it could be better. The waiter was pleasant but the waitress didn't seem to be very happy in her job. We would have preferred a choice of starters as have seen how foie gras is produced and did not want to eat it really. The main course was ok... More

What a pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning, A cruise with a view plus a nice selection of treats to eat. Ask for a map to give you a guide of where you are if you are unfamiliar with Paris

This is the perfect thing to do for lunch. After a busy morning of visiting Paris and being tired out, this allows you an hour and a half of calm and rest. The food is average but the service is excellent. The view is magnificent and you get to see a side of Paris like you don't see as a... More

We took the 6.15 cruise on a beautiful Sunday evening and paid the extra €5 for a window seat, as it happens the cruise was not too busy so everyone got a window seat but it was still worth that guarantee. The boat departed on time, the dinner was very good (I can definitely recommend the salmon), the staff were... More

We had told our friends of how lovely it was to cruise on the Seine , having dinner looking at the floodlit buildings of old Paris. We couldn't get on the bateau mouche so thought this might be ok. Well it's not. They told us that we'd got the last table ( then two thirds of the bookings didn't show!!!) The... More

When we arrived at the Pont to get on the boat we got told it would be leaving an hour late and we had to go to the opposite end of the river to get on another one instead. Bit annoying as we had rushed expensive drinks - we would have been told before hand! The experience in itself was... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
