I had planned a birthday dinner abord the Paris en Scene for the 12th of May paying 120 euros. On the day I received an email letting me know that the ship wasnt going to cruise on that night. Instead they said I could get another cruise but didn't give me any further details about it. I try to contact... More

Very disappointed! The reservation enquiry was sent, thinking the boat left from one location, the confirming email said a different location which involved 3 metro connections only to find that the boat did not arrive, this transaction is now being disputed. Would love to have seen Paris by night from the river, bit not this time. Will perhaps find another... More

Last night at Paris. Very difficult to find the place to wait, not much sign, compare to other company. But obviously after asking we found it. We were on a 6:15pm cruise. Sunny beautiful day. When too sunny is not that good... Half of the cruise we had sun in our eyes. The meal: foie gras was good, salmon ok... More

DH and I needed a break, and Travelzoo had a special. A champagne dinner for two for 69 euros. It seemed just the ticket for our case of the blues, so I booked it. And then…I read all the reviews. And they're not particularly positive. Hmmm. I was left feeling heartsick over what I was sure was a waste of... More

Was really bad, the food was not nice and the servers were very slow and rude. The day we went, it had rained too much so the boat could not go under the bridges!

Although the Quai and boat emplacement were hard to find, my girlfriend and I enjoyed a nice meal for a more than reasonable price on one of Paris' nicest boats. Not only was the diner service efficient and correct to say the least, but the route taken by the boat offers the best sight of Paris by night! Romantic and... More

The Groupon price for a champagne dinner cruise on the Seine was good and we went ahead despite mixed reviews, taking the 21.30pm cruise. Getting to Quai de Grenelle for embarkation should be straightforward but the lack of signposts on the road leading to the Quai resulted in us going down the road then turning back before going down again... I bought this dinner cruise through Groupon for 6 of us. Where do I start!? I booked for the 6.15 cruise online and printed the vouchers before leaving for Paris, on the day of the cruise I received an email from the company with further confirmation, no mention of a time change! We rushed to get the 6.15 cruise. Could... More

I'm not one to complain ordinarily, but this was horrendous! My partner and I decided to book this bistro-style dinner cruise (USD $96) for our final night in Paris and to celebrate the coming year. We almost missed the boat, due to poor instruction and were unable to get hold of the contact number provided, despite trying to reach them... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
