I know I speak French poorly, but when I enter a Expensive Shop like La Maison du Chocolat on Rue Sevres, say bonjour, to an employee, I do not expect attitude from the staff about my attempt to ask for assistance in an empty shop with two employees, doing nothing but talking to each other. The chain is one of... More

OMG this is the chocolat to die for...even thou my French friends say it's crap. This is a great place for French chocolate. Their eclairs are amazing. It's pretty much your stereotypical French chocolaterie.

This is one of the best chocolate shops in Paris. The shop we went to is in the Caroussel du Louvre. We were helped by a very knowledgeable person who did not hurry us to choose. He offered both my daughter and I to taste a chocolate. They are all wonderful. If you like chocolates and if in Paris don't... More

Such a terrific macarrons there, at Orly Airport. The hot chocolate (chocolate chaud) was not so hot at Maison near Champs Elisees Av.

This place remains one of the best chocolate shop you'll ever try. Everything is sensational, from dark chocolate pralines, to coffee eclairs and raspberry macarons! If you're gourmand as I am, if you love quality chocolate, you shouldn't miss this place. What is very nice too is the way they pack everything!

We spotted this store while exploring the neighborhood near the Hôtel Sofitel Arc de Triomphe. My mother and I couldn't stop staring at the pastries in the window display. They looked so good, but we didn't have time to stop. We ended up going back the next day. It turned out to be one of the most memorable visits of... More

This is a high end chocolate shop made for serious chocolate lovers. We tried the chocolate éclair which was lovely. We could tell that it had been made fresh and it was not too sweet – filled with a chocolate cream. The chocolate mousse was nice too, a little richer than the éclair. If you want to avoid the crowds,... More

We chanced upon this shop in Carrousel de Louvre and that was our lucky day because we had the best macarons in Paris.

The chocolate eclair is AMAZING. The best eclair I have ever had. The chocolate cream in the middle was perfect, not overly rich. The packaging is also beautiful, in a perfect box and matching brown bag. Oh, I wish I could have one now! We went to a smaller Maison location by Bon Marche and it wasn't crowded.
