We were recommended to go here by a local. Given it's proximity to the Lourve and other nearby attractions, we assumed the prices were going to be high - indeed that was correct! The famous hot chocolate will set you back just over 8 Euro, which i felt was a bit steep but it is very rich and thick and... More

Visiting Angelina for hot chocolate was the only thing I had on my to-so list for Paris and wow, I was so thrilled to experience the out-of-this-world hot chocolate! Loved how the whipped cream just melted ever so beautifully into the rich chocolate liquid that I just poured from the small elegant pitcher into my cup. I ordered the four... More

As many times as I've been to Paris each trip is not complete till I stop here and have the hot chocolate. It's the best in Paris and I have tried a number places thru out the city. The only down side is if you dont go early the line to get in is extremely long but worth it if... More

We had to visit Angelina as we read it's home to Paris's most sumptuous scrumptious desserts- I'm not a dessert person, except whilst in Paris. I'm a Vegetarian and Paris isn't great in terms of veggie a 'la carte. We waited patiently outside for around 20 minutes, still better than 2 hours to the Louvre nearby. It was nice to... More

the best hot chocolate ever and I let the waiter pair it with dessert. You can't visit Paris & not go to Angelina's

My wife and I only had a few days in Paris so we wanted to max out. Angelina's, famous for chocolate, hosted the likes of Hemingway etc, what could go wrong? Well, French service for one. I guess dreadful service is so ubiquitous in Paris (all France, for that matter) so it's seriously unoriginal to moan about it, but if... More

We stopped here from brunch during our Paris stay in late December. We ordered an eggs benedict, hot chocolate and cake each and everything was amazing. Their hot chocolate is the best I've had and the cakes are just divine. It is on the expensive side but well worth it for the quality. We'll definitely be back.

Get there early or late as there seems to be a long line outside...even in the January cold and rain.

Last time I visited Angelina's I went to a busier shop in Rue Du Rivoli - this shop is smaller but so much better. Its a little more coffee shop than restaurant but less busy, we didn't have to wait and the staff were more attentive. We had the traditional options of African Hot Chocolate and Cream cakes and were... More

I have no words for how wonderful this experience was. There is the choice to buy a cake and take it away with you or you can sit in the restaurant and enjoy your cakes with a drink. We decided to sit in the restaurant and it was lovely. The service was perfect. I went with my sister for my... More
