This lovely tearoom is a must visit every time I am in Paris, but this time even more so, as my daughter was in the city of light for the first time. Crowded, hot and not always the most pleasant of wait staff, but the pastries and candies are unreal. The hot chocolate is 2nd to none, The pricing is... More

Wonderful ambience bit not the typical French cafe. There is a line to be seated and they are moving people through quickly. The deserts are fantastic but the hot chocolate is very bitter. You have appreciate the authentic hot chocolate to enjoy it.

The decoration is nice and quiet romantic, the atmosphere is genuine French, the chocolate flavors are fantastic, the service is good enough and the place is close to many important points of view. the negative thing of this cafe is that noone shows big attention to the toilete's situation....

My daughter had requested this as a birthday treat and it was lovely. Was a very hot day and very warm inside but staff were great and even put a candle in her cake. We had lunch and the famous hot chocolate and cakes. Staff were happy for us all to share our mains and cakes. No problem ordering tap... More

We actually visited Angelina three times; first on the Rue de Rivoli for the traditional hot Chocolat Africain and some pastry on a rainy day after a marathon visit to Le Louvre and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs. Since we'd skipped breakfast and scored the first place in the line at Versailles, the second time we enjoyed a late breakfast... More

I think this is just a matter of taste. Don't get me wrong, the pastries were very good but I had some other pastries that I found more 'taste bud popping'. The Hot Chocolate was more of a Hot Pudding. My beau and I could have shared a small - it was good but just a little too much for... More

Had to visit because of the history of the place. Went late morning so not too busy as before the lunch crowds. Had the hot chocolate after reading so many reviews and truly delicious although very rich! . Just had a small pastry with it but all pastries, macaroons, tarts looked yummy. Great atmosphere and decor inside. Staff a little... More

A friend recommended the hot chocolate here, and I wasn't disappointed--it was some of the best I've had. The macaron I had with it wasn't anything to write home about, but it was nice. Yes, it has a very touristic atmosphere and very high prices, but you sort of expect that from a cafe right next to the Tuileries.

First time in Angelina was not disappointed. Was there for lunch but in hindsight should have gone for a leisurely afternoon tea. The lunch menu looks good but don't think the prices are justifiable. Understand that this is in a posher part of Paris but most of the savoury items I expect could get somewhere else with a fraction of... More
