We came here after reading other reviews and can not agree with the positive comments. We were seated upstairs and the second floor is run down and dirty. While the staff was fine, the service was a little slow. The biggest issue was the food. No one liked the hot chocolate at all. It is so think and rich that... More

I may be biased because Paris is my favorite city and I love everything about it, but Angelina just makes a trip to Paris seem even more special. I love the old school charm and, of course, their famous hot chocolate and hazelnut dessert. I would love to return to Paris in the winter and relax in this lovely tea... More

I wasn't aware of the hot chocolate reputation but ordered it because I noticed it at a nearby table and asked the waitress to identify the contents of the small stainless pitcher and cup of whipped cream that looked so special. I could not believe that someone could make hot chocolate taste like that! It's liquid magic!

Had the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. The hot chocolate is large and rich enough to share. Expensive, but forget the price and enjoy the indulgence!

By far the best hot chocolate I've ever had! It was so good but quite heavy and sweet and after just a few gulps you feel like you can drink no more.. but you do finish because you 're paying 9 euros for it and because you want that taste again in your mouth. Desserts were absolutely wonderful yet pricey.... More

I love coming here when I'm in Paris because I feel like I've stepped back in time. And to be honest, the desserts are sublime if not a bit pricey but you are paying for the ambiance, the history and a bit to be 'seen'. There is usually always a line but it moves surprisingly fast but if you are... More

The pastries here are perfection! Really fresh but absolutely indulgent. While the actual shop is beautiful, we felt our sweets were best enjoyed as takeaway, eaten in the Tuileries opposite!

Our family just had to come here because of the infamous hot chocolate. It was a packed cafe and we were seated in the back. The hot chocolate was truly superb, rich, dark, with whipped cream and served in elegant cups and pitcher. Beware it can get expensive. For just hot chocolate, a coffee, and water, we ended up paying... More

Today is 1august 2014. My wife and I with our young daughter were served hot drinks around 3.30pm this afternoon. I was having earl grey which was served without a tea strainer, an oversight I thought that can easily happen until I asked for one only to be told by an older French lady with a disgusting attitude that there... Go for the hot chocolate and the macarons but not the service. The wait staff is typical of Paris of old - indifferent and almost rude. The lunch is good. I love the Croque Monsieur and the Quiche Lorraine. It is a special place for me and my daughter. I will return with her for the hot chocolate.
