Bought English tour tickets in USA prior to trip on Cultival website for 14 euros. A link is found on opera's main website. The printed ticket is presented at entrance (behind the opera house). You wait in lower level rotunda for your tour to start. Tours have about 20 -25 people each. There were 5 groups and you were given... More

I would approach this experience two ways: the artistic performance and the experience. The performance of LaBoheme was wonderful. Just as a trip to the opera should be in Paris. The sound in the theater was amazing, and even though it didn't have the grandeur or charm of the Palais Garnier, when the lights are out and the music is... More

Worth the visit. Go inside to see the grandeur of the building.Went on Sunday afternoon. there was no queue for tickets as such just a couple of people ahead. So to get in it hardly took 2 mins. we spent a good amount of time in there around an hour. But if one is in rush i think 30 to... More

Costs only 10€ but well worth a visit. The restaurant is classy, too, and not overly expensive. Takes around an hour to fully appreciate the opera house itself.

Very nice experience at the Opera Bastille. Convenient location in great area of Paris in the Marais. But the building lacks the charm of the old opera house!

aside from the tremendous ballet performance of hunchback that i saw, and the marvelous symphony, everything else was sub par. After intermission going back to seat right as the doors were closing, some one else was sitting there. I tried to politely ask him to leave, as he was in my seat, and i got a dumb frenchman no understand... More

It was my dream to see La Boheme in Paris, and it came true thanks to the Opera National de Paris' resale ticket site. This is a site sponsored by the organization that allows ticket holders to sell their tickets if they will not be using them. Check the resale site before spending hundreds through a third party website. The... More

One of the slightly lesser promoted attractions of Paris is the Opera Nationale de Paris. The cost of entry is just 10 Euros and the elaborately decorated rooms are simply breathtaking. It is a wonderful venue to immerse yourself in French musical culture. On the day I visited, the auditorium was closed to to a rehearsal, and while I missed... More

The modern architecture is actually not of my taste in this nice square but if you have the chance to see a ballet or opera: you are in for a treat! Know that some cheaper seats are sold every month on site for 15€ or so.

To see the premiere of the Balanchine and Millepied Ballet, was the highlight of a family visit to Paris. Tickets were booked in advance on line at http://www.operadeparis.fr/ Our tickets were 62 Euro each which seemed incredibly reasonable for a real premiere performance! The building doesn't have the grand elaborate architecture but the sound and the seating were perfect for... More
