The Aux Trois Mailletz club is a long running venue for great live music Wonderful jazz concerts take place here regularly. It is located in the 5eme arrondissement. Nowadays it has a cabaret show as opposed to the earlier days when it was essentially a jazz club.

My first time here was over 20 years ago, and I had an incredible time. This visit was enjoyable as well, but it was missing a bit of the earlier magic. A few observations: There is a Latin band that plays until about 23:45, after which the main show starts. The Latin band is pretty uninspiring, so make a reservation... More

When we first entered the place.... I was disappointed.... But when the time passed and we left the place @ 5 in the morning with difficulty walking home I concluded that's it was a WAW night. Don't go for the food but for the spectacle down, crazy show and good music...

The glowing reviews here tell the story, to which I don't have much to add. I got here around 11 with a couple business colleagues after dinner and a long day of negotiations, went downstairs (where the movable feast of a cabaret show is located), and stayed until 3 when the party was still going. At 2:30 the Ukrainian chanteuse... More

Random bistro, bar, opera, impromptu artists in the 5th, everynight is different, easy french bistro cuisine but better atmosphere and music.

We ventured off the beaten path by a recommendation from our apartment host. Dinner and a night filled with music was on order. It was a very lively evening and dining in the "cave" different from anything in the states. Dinner and a show was a bit on the pricey side but worth the experience. Plan to stay out into... More

This is a must see for anyone that is in Paris without children. Phenomenal singing and great atmosphere. I am a pilot and get to Paris often. This is a favorite for myself and many co-workers.

Upstairs is a great jazz bar. Downstairs is an eclectic night club, with a cover, that starts around 11pm. Plant yourself in a good table early, order a bottle of wine and some appetizers or dinner and enjoy.. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO NOT HAVE A GREAT TIME HERE!!!!

It can be fun to be in the cafe on the street level here, that will depend on the singers or musicians of the evening. In the basement there is sort of a meeting place for musicians, singers and dancers from all over Paris. Maybe you will find yourself dancing on tghe table as well.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
