Went here after dinner with friends. Fantastic service, lots of choices, and very good value! Non smoking section was great
First of all, if you're planning a trip and reading this the Hemingway Bar is CURRENTLY CLOSED but they will be reopening. I wanted to take my husband here and was fortunate enough to wander in the last night of service before closing. The staff had family members in for the evening and were all celebrating the place they love... More
This should be taken off Tripadvisor. Waste of time. Went all the way just to find out it was closed. Should be taken off the app.
It is most unfortunate that the Ritz Hotel has closed this historic landmark designed by Hemingway. We went to see it June of 2012 and were politely told that is was not open to the public.
We love coming here for the delicious drinks and fantastic atmosphere, not to mention the attentive service, excellent bar men and tasty snacks. Too bad we'll have to wait until it opens again in the soon-to-be-reinvented Ritz. So sad to see it go, but glad to hear that they don't plan on changed the bar at all. Now off to... More
I always wanted to go to Bar Hemingway having read most of Hemingway's biographical material and finally went. It lived beyond expectations. Intimate and classy, momentos everywhere, excellent martinis with wonderful "snackings". Love the ambiance. It's small and feels exclusive. Dress appropriately, and keep your voice down to continue the feeling.
Had a couple drinks here with a family friends many years ago (TA didn't provide a date earlier than April, 11). I still remembers the blueberries and blackberries in the water. Very quaint, cozy atmosphere. At the Ritz hotel in Place Vendome.
I guess everyone should experience a cocktail from the Bar Hemingway at least once in their life, but it's pretty disgusting that they charge 30 Euro for a cocktail. When you convert to USD, that's a $40 cocktail (usually my maximum allowable bar tab for an evening). While that usually includes a lovely fresh rose for the ladies and some... More
If you like famous hotels' bars, don't miss this one! Go for the legendary vodka and "beaten" strawberries cocktail. Bar staff are friendly. And they make you feel like a star. Hurry up; the Ritz is closing down for 3 years renovations in June 2012.
Service is very good, as you would expect. Prices are extremely high, but you knew that before you came here. The bar is very very small, cannot take many people so you may have to wait for a table. The Serendipity cocktail is very good. The Ritz Champagne so-so. I would have liked one of Hemingways 'Death in the Afternoon'... More
